Berkey Water Purifier

Thinking about getting one. I am currently using Kishu charcoal sticks to purify my water but I can’t do a lot at the time and it takes a long time. A Berkey can do many gallons an hour. Anyone use one? Thoughts regarding that versus a reverse osmosis system?

I bought one a few months ago. Sold it pretty quickly after that. It may filter out a good amount of stuff, but it doesn’t improve the taste at all. STRONGLY recommend an RO system over the Berkey. Aquasana H20 Pro is what I’m currently using. It has a remineralizer option, which is quite nice. It’s second only to fresh spring water in my experience. :-)

I looked that up on Amazon. Looks like you need a plumber to install it?

It’s somewhat complicated to install. I did mine by myself though…a bit frustrating but I figured it out :-P

Thank you! Most of the reviews hail it as the ultimate but they really are all about survival situations. Does RO remove fluoride?

Yep, 95%+ :-)
