UPDATE – our Mystery Assortment Sale event is now over – thank you to everyone who bought one or more assortments to help make this sale an enormous success – our inventory is much more manageable now! Whew!

Next month, I start our 12 Teas of Christmas promotion and I’m going to be blending teas like a Madwoman – and I need help clearing out some of the present stock!

In the past, I called them Mystery grab bags (and on the website, they’re still listed as such) but these are actually mystery assortments of teas because there’s no bag. There’s just tea – FIVE pouches of tea to be precise – with at least one pouch being a large size (2 ounces/50g depending upon when the tea was packaged). Teas in these assortments will be our choice, no special requests, please.

These will be true assortments with no duplicates. If you purchase more than 1 assortment package: no duplications (guaranteed up to 3 assortments, after that, I can’t guarantee no duplicates!) That’s right no duplicates – just delicious tea!

I got a note in my email with this question which appears to now be gone/deleted, but in case the question is asked again, I’ll answer the deleted question, which was what is the total final weight of the assortment package?
Answer:
In most cases, the total final product weight will be approximately 4 ounces.
However, the total final weight is dependent upon a couple of factors (and here’s where it can get a little confusing, sorry about that):
1. At least 1 of the pouches of tea will be a large pouch but there may be more than 1 large pouch to an assortment package. In which case, the final weight would be more than 4 ounces. Most pouches will consist of 1 large pouch and 4 taster pouches, but some may contain more than 1 large pouch.
2. As of June 1st (I think it was June 1st), we started weighing, packing and listing our tea weight as grams rather than ounces. Most of the teas that will be in the assortment package will have been packaged prior to that date, but some may have been packaged after. If so, the large pouch will be 50g instead of 2 ounces and the taster pouches will be 15g instead of 1/2 ounce.
3. Most large pouches are 2 ounces (or 50g) however, it depends upon the tea. Some teas are bulkier yet lighter in weight (like a white tea, for example) and because of this, some of the large pouches end up being either 1 ounce or 1 1/5 ounce … or 25g. If the assortment package has one of these teas as the large pouch, that will obviously alter the final total product weight as well.

Due to the popularity of these assortments – I’ve added a few more to the inventory! I appreciate all of your assistance in helping me clear out some of these teas and relocating them to new, tea-loving homes so that I can work on the Holiday teas!
