Searching for organic tea shop

Hello, I’m looking for some internet shop with organic and biodinamica teas that wil ship to Spain at a reasonable price.

Tried with artoftea but the shipping cost is greater than the price of the teas!!

Actually I’m buying japanese tea at Yuuki-cha. They have great tea’s and the shipping cost to spain is quite reasonable (about 20% the total cost).

I usually receive the tea in a week and a half or so…

I cant understand why shipping rates are so high at artoftea (more than 100% of the total cost of teas)… I saw similar shipping rates at others US shops, do you know why?

Best regards

Yuuki-cha is great. I don’t drink much Japanese tea, but one of their small kyusus is my all time favorite oolong/puerh teapot.

Rishi has a broad range of organic tea. Upton has some too.

Life in Teacup (which is managed by yours truly) has 3 Taiwan oolong and black teas and a tea chocolate certified organic.

As for the international shipping, it is indeed very expensive. We regretfully adjusted the shipping charge to Europe it twice last year from $8 to $16 because we often lose money on shipping. Besides, for larger companies that have to deal with hundreds of international parcels, they would prefer a shipping method with tracking information. Unfortunately, so far the cheapest trackable international mail is priority mail, which starts somewhere around $25 for mailing to Europe with a tiny small box. Yeah, I know, that’s insane.

http://www.zhitea.com says they ship internationally, with charge based on weight and destination. You would have to contact them for more definite prices. I highly recommend them! And they are all organic teas. Shipping charges have gotten so high that it pushed many smaller internet businesses out of business. I quit swapping after getting so many packages all ready to go, figuring the shipping costs and then never hearing back. People don’t like to see shipping cost more than the item, but sometimes it really does. Still, whether with a business or an individual on eBay or whatever, I think there are two types of shipping charges. One is an honest reflection of the actual cost plus a bit for packaging/handling. The other is a “I’m going to make the item price really low and then make my money off the sky high shipping.” I try to avoid the latter even if it adds together as a competitive price, because it is so dishonest.
