Strong Vs. Weak

How does everyone prefer to take their tea, strong or weak? I personally prefer my black teas to be strong because then you get more flavor and my white, herbals, and green teas weak because if they steep for too long, they become far too bitter to drink.

For me it really depends on my mood. Sometimes I want a strong black tea to give me a massive pick me up. Other times I just want something light and subtle. I steep to my current mood and preference.

Hi Chelsea,

For me it is strong tea all the way.

It is hard to top waking up in the morning with a nice strong Scottish breakfast and a hearty meal.

I never been a big fan of weak myself. I can always remember going round my grandmothers house and she would buy Sainsbury’s basics tea bags and semi skimmed milk! As you can probably imagine the two combined created a very weak solution that you may almost of just poured a hot glass of water from the kettle.

I have to concur that steeping green and white teas for too long do become too bitter which is why I usually steep them for the recommended 2 -3 minutes.
