Hi everyone...

Hi there. I’ve just signed up, and thought I’d introduce myself.

I’m a Brit living in Sweden, doing my best to spread the tea-word in this land of inveterate coffee drinkers.

Pu-erh is starting to dominate my tea cupboard, but I do try and keep a green/red/oolong in for variety’s sake.

I’m hoping that 2017 will be the year I finally get my teaware habit under control…

Welcome! You’ll find support and temptation here. ;)

I’ll need all the support I can get when the call of the temptations reduces the savings account to loose change.. ;)

Oh you’ve come to the wrong place! Since (recently) joining, I’ve never spent so much.

Teaware habit sounds interesting…. I have one of thoese too. I like Petr Novak from Czech Republic and Japanese Hagi-ware. What sort of items do you like?

Welcome!!
Cheers, Rob

Hi Rob.

Gaiwans are my weakness. If I’m in a Chinese supermarket and I see a gaiwan, it’s going in the basket. I’ve “rescued” 5 from charity shops!

Welcome! We do have a thread called “Teaware Lust” so I don’t know how well you will get your teaware spending under control here.

It’s not so much the spending I’m worried about, it’s the rapidly diminishing amount of cupboard space. I (jokingly!) asked my wife if we really needed that big a freezer, as I could fit a nice teaware cupboard in it’s place.

She was not amused… :)

I know what you mean! I started collecting china cups and saucers and those can fill up a cabinet really quick.

Welcome. This hasn’t been a place to help me get tea or tea ware under control – quite the opposite. Bunch of enablers around here. :)

Maybe I should start preparing my daughter…“look on the bright side, you won’t get to go to college, but you’ll never be short of a really good cup of tea…!” :)
