Favourite Tea Wisdom
The Book of Tea by Japanese scholar Kakuzo Okakura is very quotable and has some truly poetic descriptions. For example: “In the liquid amber within the ivory porcelain, the initiated may touch the sweet reticence of Confucius, the piquancy of Laotse, and the ethereal aroma of Sakyamuni himself.”
On the simplicity of tea drinking and Cha Dao:
Divinity is a smile or a tear drop; or yes, even a cup of fresh green tea.
