How would you store this tea?

Hey guys! I know the basics of storing tea… Air tight container in a nice dark cool cabinet, pretty simple. However….. I bough this today earlier today https://www.marketspice.com/black/616-marketspice-cinnamon-orange-tea-4oz-in-square-jar.html it has cinnamon oil in it. The place I bought it from (in store) recommended I store it in the fridge. Would you guys do this? I have some problems mainly being that there is light in the fridge when you open and close. Also, if the tea leaves are cold and then mixed with boiling water I assume that’s not good. I was thinking I could just get a small glass jar to put some tea in it and then put the big jar in the fridge and refill when needed? How does that sound? Also, for the storage of rooibos tea is an air tight tin in a cabinet good enough? Thank you so much everbody!!!

Edit: Oh they also said it NEEDS to be in a glass jar because the oils.

When I was a kid, we could buy vials of cinnamon oil from the pharmacy. They cost maybe 60 cents. This oil was so strong that it was kept behind the pharmacy counter and you had to ask for it. Getting some on your finger and touching your eye could be very painful. Anyway, we used to dip wooden toothpicks in the vial and suck on them. The vial lasted forever. I’m assuming that your tea has this sort of oil added.

From cooking, I know cinnamon fades over time. This is probably why the suggestion is glass and refrigeration, to preserve the cinnamon.

Storing tea in the fridge is generally risky from moisture and condensation. It is very easy to get moisture into the tea. If the tea is vacuum sealed that is slightly different until you break the seal.
