Official Steepster Tea of the Month Club - Would you be interested?
I’m all for it! I agree to start off with a low price range. And/Or maybe promote it a bit more by giving away the first 50 or something subscriptions for free? It’s a great idea, money is my only concern! $$$
I would love to sign up for new teas! I always get cold feet when buying a new tea in the case I don’t like it. I’d love to have access to 2-3 cups worth of a few, new sample teas every month.
I’d spend up to $15 for a monthly subscription. :)
Maybe you could gather the samples and package them up and offer it as a Steepster Select offering: here it is, these are the samples contained in it, this is how much it costs, buy it or not. Next month do it all over again.
Something like this would be good. I see how having people committed to a subscription would probably increase overall participation, but personally I am a little less likely to participate because of this commitment.
Maybe consider offering it as both a subscription and as a select item, but having the subscribers paying a lower price.
All good ideas, but part of this is that we’re running it using a new product we’ve been working on, which necessitates that it uses a subscription participation plan – but we hope you’ll still enjoy it :).
I haven’t spoken up simply because it’s not something I would be likely to participate in. I try to minimize ordering online (though that’s hard to avoid if I want any company variety in my tea life) but more than that I just prefer to choose my own teas, especially if I’m going to pay for them. The size isn’t an issue (though a variety of smaller sizes appeals more than one 1 or 2 oz package), nor is the price it’s just not something I am not interested in, at the moment.

I’d definitely be game. I’m already in one for $20/mth getting a sample ranging from 2-8oz of a single mystery tea each month, meaning I won’t know what it is til I get it.
I’d be willing to pay the same for a small set of samples. But I do agree with some others that the samples need to be at least big enough to get 3 or 4 cups from. Anything less and there’s really not enough to rate and decide if you want to buy more.

@Angrboda: I know, I know, aaggghh – sorry. We really wanted to do international but it was too many moving parts for this first month. We’ll be looking to ship international very soon though.
