I love surprise teas – Please let me know when you start to ship Internationally.
How long is the subscription for? Or are the teas purchased each month separately?
You can do different length plans, month-to-month, 3 months pre-paid, 6 months pre-paid, and 12 months pre paid.

Jason, I know the teas themselves are a surprise, but can you possibly comment on whether it’s likely the monthly selections will have a lot of tisanes (e.g. rooibos, honeybush)? Please don’t take this the wrong way, and I mean no offense to those who enjoy such teas, but I’d feel kind of disappointed if I signed up and paid $19 a box full of flavored honeybush or rooibos. If it’s likely these shipments will be mostly real teas (camellia sinensis) of some kind, I am very likely to join. Thanks, and best wishes on your new venture!
I’ll second this, I love the idea and can appreciate the surprise aspect however it makes me unlikely to buy for fear that it’ll be a box of flavored crap .. er uh I mean flavored teas that seem to be so popular. :)
For $20 for a couple ounces I’d like to be somewhat sure I’m getting good teas that I like. Just my two pence though. Either way thanks for doing this and I really hope it takes off.
Thanks for the interest. Our strategy is to include mostly true, camellia sinensis, not tisanes. I’m not going to rule out tisanes, we might even have a month that is themed for flavored tisanes, but the majority will be true teas. We are included flavored teas though, but again, we are trying to pick teas that are more on the purer, basic camellia sinensis side.

It would be cool if each of the three teas were from a different vendor. I like trying new vendors but having to pay shipping for each one adds up. This would be a nice alternative.
This is pretty cool. I don’t think I can do it this month, as finances are tight and I’m getting ready to move (to Boston! any Steepsterites there, hit me up). But I’ll probably try it in the next couple months if the reception is good.
It’s the last day to signup in order to be part of the first month. If you’re not able to do it this month, you can always shoot an email to select@steepster.com to be put on the waitlist.

The labels are a little delayed from the printer, but they should be here tomorrow so that we can ship tomorrow or Wed (8/17). We’ll send out a note once they all go out or if there are any changes. Exciting stuff!

Any idea when this will be back up and running again?
Any idea why this post and a bunch of others were randomly bumped up in the discussion boards? I noticed that this one was bumped earlier, but nobody new had replied… (not that I don’t think it’s a worthwhile topic to have brought back up!)
I’m guessing that there was a spam commenter and the posts were deleted – though it could also be someone editing their replies, but that seems less likely.
