Tea mugs question

Another vote for BIG, although dainty has it’s time and place, too. I’m generally pro-handle. I do like the handle-less look, but I have yet to experience that being comfortable to hold when the liquid was really hot.

I can’t stand tiny little cups and mugs. I like them big — 14 to 16 oz. I would not buy a 10-12 oz. mug. I prefer handles.

With regard to teapots, I’d like one that holds at least 16 oz, preferably more.

12 ounces, and I usually prefer a handle. But in a handmade cup, I might like it w/o handle, if I won’t get burned. I would love to get something like you are talking about, but they are always so expensive that I rule it out. If it comes to a lb of good tea or a cup, I will pick the tea. I understand the reasons for the cost, I just can’t justify spending it. If they are reasonable, I would be very happy. And by reasonable, I mean $20 or so, with shipping in the $5 range.

This sounds wonderful! I have a wide variety of mugs, but do prefer handles. I’d definitely love to support a local, independent artist. :)

Matcha chawan with a handle? Tiny chawans would be kind of cool too- I always thought it was odd to have a small amount of liquid in a large bowl. …And yes, I realize these aren’t “mugs”, but I think stoneware chawans would be interesting.

Can you possibly send a picture of some his work? Or maybe a website or something. Thanks
