Our Latest Creation: Heath Bar Chocolate Toffee Black Tea

I’d be curious what his strategy on things like this are. He probably has a handful of ‘new flavors’ in the works at a time… but gosh I’d imagine there’s a lot of trial and error he has to go through. If I were him, I’d have a list of ‘dependable’ teas that weren’t necessarily in high circulation, but could be necromanced if the new blends aren’t working out the way he wanted.

Sounds like a good strategy, and I am sometimes tempted to reblend one of our older blends, but that wouldn’t be in keeping with offering a new tea every week. :)

Hey, Frank… by the way … next week is my Birthday week, so please do something totally awesome. Here are some ideas:

Chocoholic Tea blend – with like triple the amount of chocolate from a regular chocolate blend. And then, add some more chocolate, just in case it wasn’t enough.

Bacon Pecan Pancake with Caramel Drizzle – I think I’ve mentioned this one before. I had a stack of pancakes like this made for me at Denny’s. It was absolutely sinful and evil and yummy good.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie – I know it’s summer but, I love pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.

Sun Dried Tomato Green Tea – yes, yes, you made me a tomato tea already, BUT … did it NOT sell out in an astonishingly fast amount of time? This time, do a Sencha base, with tomatoes, a little basil and maybe even some garlic. Now we’re talking.

Did I mention a Chocoholic’s tea yet?

Just some ideas. Just do something fantastic for next week, ok? That’s not to say that you don’t regularly do something fantastic… but do something even fantasticer … fantasticest even.

Hahahahahaha, I want him to come out with something containing licorice, so I won’t be tempted to make a purchase. I cannot. (That said… they all sound like great ideas. Save ’em for… July?)

I personally wouldn’t mind a licorice blend either, because I love licorice, anise, and fennel. YUM!

And since I’m a subscriber, I don’t have to worry about such temptations (except when he does a VIT) … I highly recommend subscribing if you find yourself tempted every week. I was ordering nearly every week for quite some time and I finally realized that it was more economical choice to just subscribe … that way I didn’t have to worry about teas selling out before I could buy them, and I didn’t have to justify weekly purchases (just quarterly expenses!)

Optimally, there would be a monthly reduced-size sampler package available :D 2 oz. is just too much for me sometimes – at least you have Foodzie boxes to help control your stash :D

I guess I wasn’t taking the ‘new’ part of ‘new’ tea every week quite as literal there. Whew! You’re going to have quite a back catalog!
