A good steep of cocomama lime tea. I’ve done three steeps each with new leaves and all that has steeped is the lime and coconut, not the black leaves!! PANIC!

Maybe it’s the leaf? take it back to the store… maybe the will have insight?

I am hoping it is the leaf, I have a feeling that there is a serious lacking in black leaf in this tin…

A nice round roasty oolong! but I haven’t got any! I have milky ones… but I’m craving the rich roastiness. mmmmmm
Not sure if tgy would do the trick. I had some the other day and it didn’t scratch the itch!

We are in such opposite places, I guess the grass is always greener. I just got free Wuyi samples in the mail today. Too funny.

ha, indeed :)

Mmmm, Sunday morning is treat day! I am having a sweet oolong (Vanilla) while I prep apricots, plums and peaches to make a “stone fruit pie” Mmmmm; I wonder what would happen if I simmered the fruit in some “Blazin’ strawberry” tea? Pondering, pondering… … …

Worth a shot!

ok I have to know how this turned out!!! Don’t keep us waiting now!

I can smell the strawberries! I am thinking this tea would really rock in a strawberry rhubarb pie! I like to cook down the rhubarb before making the pie so that it is not as stringy.

As of 4:00 EST, my TYG craving was quashed. I went to the grocery, and I picked up 80 grams. It is a good day.

Tan Yang. I will always want a cup of that. Even when in the mood for something green and fruity, I can be persuaded in different directions by Tan Yang. Especially, it seems, when I haven’t got any.

In fact, I think I’ll go make me a cup now. :) ♥

I’ve never heard of it! If I ever see it for sale in my area, I’ll be buying some for sure. Seriously craving a nice oolong, and have been for days!!

My very favourite is the Tan Yang Te Ji from TeaSpring. Sometimes the type also goes under the name ‘Panyong’, which I think actually may be the more common spelling. I tend to use the other more because that’s how TeaSpring spells it and that’s the spelling I first came across. It’s very very recommendable.

With all your praises of it, Angrboda, I’m definitely going to watch for Tan Yang Te Ji and/or Panyong! It sounds lovely.

Oh it is! I know I’m all ‘Tan Yang this’ and ‘Tan Yang that’ sometimes. Sometimes I wonder if I’m so bad at it that I’m putting people off it. :) I tend to get put off something if it’s hyped too much.

I hope you all do give the type a try though. :)

Angrboda, I am right now drinking Upton’s Panyang China Congou, and my very favorite tea of all is their (sadly out of stock) Panyang Bohea Supreme. Your mentions of Tan Yang have taught me that that is another name for my favorite type of tea. So thank you for singing its praises. I am not at all put off by your talk of Tan Yang — quite the opposite! :)

Is it not just wonderful? :D draws little hearts around it

It’s not a very common type where I live, though. I’ve only really got the TeaSpring ones available to me. I should have liked to have done a little more exploration and see if there really is anything better than the Te Ji out there. (I tried the Jin Zhen from TeaSpring earlier which costs about twice as much, and found I liked the cheaper better, but that’s as far as I’ve gone.) I’ve got a handful of shop discoveries in my bookmarks which are available to me though, so I’ll have to have a look through them instead of the regulars the next time I shop.
