I’ve gotta say that I’m a fan of the Manteas packaging with the Beer Tea, Chocolate Bacon, and Maple Bacon as well as others Tea drinking like Dr. Pepper 10 is indeed manly!

Mariage Freres. The black tins are gorgeous and timeless, and all their limited/special-edition teas’ packaging is gorgeous too.

Like many others, I think that H&S has elegance and practicality. However, since they have received many votes, I will cast mine in favor of Twinings loose tea. I have a 100g tin of Prince of Wales and another of Irish Breakfast in front of me. Like H&S, they are stackable and trimmed in gold. The lids have the Twinings coat of arms embossed with the date the company was established (1706). Love that tradition…

Løv organic tea. The tins are so very cute, and are sealed for freshness before being sold. I found a few of these at Blue Banana in Kensington market in downtown Toronto, and only walked away with one, the Red Fruits. I can’t wait to go back for more, but honestly, it was the tin that sold me on the tea, not the desire for the tea itself. It is darn tasty, though! I just love the little dove and the hinged lid. The whole design makes me feel like I’m doing something healthy and good for my body by having a cup.

Hey they just starting stocking this company’s product in my local Chapters, is it good? I have to agree, the packaging is brilliant. Especially when I tried to sneak a sniff and found a seal in my way. haha.

I’m loving it, I’m going to have to check Chapters out for more!

Hmm…I haven’t seen these guys at Chapters yet. I’lll have to take a peek!

I just checked this out, and saw them called “Kusmi’s little sister.” That explains the gorgeous packaging! I’ll have to watch for them. The teas sound lovely and I’m thinking they’d make good gifts.

I haven’t experienced many different tea packagings, but I like the Republic of Tin canisters because they fit nicely in the pantry and don’t get beat up like normal boxes. :P

I have to second Republic of Tea. I love H&S and Twinigns for loose, but for bagged tea I seem to be drawn to Republic. I have succumbed to the impluse to buy many of their blends based largely on the beautiful artwork and/or intriguing ingredients of a new blend. Luckily, their size and shape means that despite the many I have, my shelf isn’t too jumbled.

I seem to collect Twinnings tins. I have a few from Harney and Sons and a few from L’amour du Thé; but the Twinnings tins seem to last best. I wash and re-use them to hold other teas and tea bags. Considering the number I have, I’m always looking for new ways to reuse them. Pencil holders in the kitchen, thumb-tack holder in the office, sugar spoon holder on the dining room table, etc.

I do not know if it counts for packaging, but I collect pu erh wrappers (because I like drinking pu erh mostly). And I especially like wrappers from Yunnan Sourcing, they are simple but beautiful…. white, just with caligraphy in Chinese style and it just looks perfect (IMO) and expresses everything I like about this tea, eg.: http://www.yunnansourcing.com/store/img/p/1301-1273-thickbox.jpg

The tins I’ve used, used, and reused over the years are the tall ones from Adagio with a good, secure thumb latch.
