Are you sure the bushes haven’t been sprayed with chemicals?
Excellent point! I am not completely sure that the bushes have never been sprayed with chemicals. However, because no one has been living in the apartment for the past year I reckon no chemicals have been used at least for the past year.
Good point, Butiki. But if they haven’t been sprayed, I would recommend blending the lavender with a plain tea – plain meaning unflavored. When I visit my grandmother in upstate New York, particularly in the spring and summer, we make a lovely cup of lavender tea, mixing it with plain green tea. The aroma is so soothing and delicious. We use two or three sprigs per pot – brewing up about three cups worth. We’ve tried it with black tea as well, but the black flavor was stronger, so more lavender had to be used.
Anyhoo, hope this helps. You could always make sachets instead! ;)
Enjoy!
I bought some lavender in a tea shop a few years ago. For me it was too much lavender, never got to try it mixed with another tea like black tea for example
I found mixing it with mint is pretty tasty as well.
I am no herbalist please keep this in mind. That being said:
Best time to pick lavender is (April 15 to May 13) as this is the Celtic month for the Willow Moon. Picking lavender during the full Moon enhances its magical powers.

Great! I thought lavender would go great with other herbal teas. Although I also have a strong urge to try it with green tea too.
I agree, chamomile and lavender are a wonderful combination.
