I sure hope I like the vanilla mint
When Rishi had the 25% off, I spent a lot of time trying to decide what to get. I added things to the shopping cart and then deleted them, started over, deleted added, that sort of online shopping. Well, somehow, I ended up ordering an ounce of the vanilla mint pu-erh. Then I ordered the sample pack that has and ounce of the vanilla mint pu-erh. Finally, I got an ounce of the vanilla mint for free. (Some kind of promotion? I forget.)
Is the vanilla mint good? I haven’t tried it yet.
Yep, That was their daily sale for the 31st:) I placed my order the day before (Kukicha 50% off). Due to my beefs w/ the Rishi company itself (definitely not the products), I will not buy from them directly again unless they have a killer sale, but I was given vanilla mint as a pu erh recommendation. Unfortunately I’m too terrified of it to spend money on it lol.
That’s not very reassuring! What about it is so scary? The reviews seemed good.
I’m sure I’m overreacting, but I had a very bad experience w/ the only pu erh I’ve tried. I’ve got Numi’s organic chocolate pu erh that I’m gonna try tomorrow. It’s chocolate so it’s gotta be good, right?:) I hope that I’ll get rid of some of my fears about pu erh.
If you like strawberry, give the strawberry slender from Teavana a try. I’m sure it’s not really and authentic pu erh, but it is really good and stands up to multiple infusions.
{thinks to self} a blend of strawberry chocolate pu erh might be good:)… maybe even w/ the vanilla mint added. Oh yeah, I’m a blend freak ;)
You could always have a big party and make Vanilla Mint Mexican Hot Chocolate your signature drink. I wonder how the cinnamon/chili in the mexican chocolate would go w/ the mint… I don’t normally like that combo. Maybe put some rum in it? Here’s the recipe:
