Humor me...

Which ever bag has the most leaf in it or would steep the most cups. Yeah, I know that’s not what you meant but that’s what I would do.

No KS, that works. It’s whatever you would grab!

Hmm… if this is the only tea I will have with me for a while, and assuming I can bring loose leaf with me I would choose an Ali Shan Oolong (Preferably Norbu’s Spring or Fall Harvest), or perhaps a Yellow (Ancient Yellow Buds from Rishi or Farm Fresh Huoshan from Chi of Tea). If I must choose a bagged tea, then I’d want Indian Nimbu in the sachets from Harney & Sons.

However, if I am just in a rush, say, like I have to get to someplace quick, and I’ll be back to my tea collection soon … then I would probably choose an Earl Grey as they always perk me up. My favorite is from thepuriTea although I don’t have any in my stash at the moment, so I’d choose my Earl Grey from Lupicia, or maybe Lord Bergamot from Steven Smith.

Thanks to everyone for humoring me tonight.
I was feeling pretty goofy at work & thought of this topic.

If it was me & I had to rush out thanks to zombies taking over, I would definitely grab my Lime in the Coconut from California House. It’s a delightful green that works hot or iced & I’m going to need both while on the run!

I’d take Long Life Oolong, for delicious good luck!

Fun topic! I’d probably take Mi Lan Dan Cong by Canton Tea. I just got 100 grams for Christmas so there’s plenty of it and it’s good for multiple steeps. And it tastes so darn good.
But I’d also seriously consider just taking my whole tea cabinet if I couldn’t return, since it’s on wheels and I can just push it around with me.

Thanks…I’m laughing at this answer. It’s on wheels you can push it around!! OMG! That is great!

I should really fit my tea shelves with some wheels…Or maybe move my tea to my filing cabinet? Now there’s an idea!

My tea cabinet is actually one of those plastic storage towers with three drawers. It’s leftover from my college dorm days. It’s been a great addition to my kitchen. :)

Tea in a filing cabinet sounds like a great way to organize my copious amounts of tea. I know where my teas are, but no one else gets my system.

I have one of those three drawer plastic storage carts. I use it for my scrapbook supplies. Maybe I should get one for my tea….mmm…

Yes, well, now that you’ve started this thread, I’m seriously considering making an “emergency tea kit” so that I can easily grab it in case of emergency. I’ll get one of those portable brita filter bottles, and add some of my favorite loose leaf teas and find some steeper mug of some sort. You never know when a zombie apocalypse may happen.

I love that everyone assumed it was a zombie apocalypse that would cause us to have to leave in a moment’s notice. Awesome!

Formosa oolong if I’m at work, and Spice exchange Darjeeling if I’m at home!! I have two different stashes :-)

I would take pu-er
i) It is the easiest to brew- pour boiling water
ii) Easiest to store
iii) Able to re-steep the most times
iv) Compact- don’t need a lot of space

Best for short notice travel

Good to know. Maybe I’ll have to start drinking pu-er.

Curious, I have no idea. I think if I was ever that rushed I’d pray my work stash was stocked. I keep La La Lemon and Secret Weapon and Jungle Ju-Ju at work. But if I knew there was nothing at work, I’d probably toss a random Oolong into my libre mug and run!!
