As a matter of fact, we had a discussion about tea a few days ago (Frank)…smoke is something I wanted to ask YOU about since I had some Smoky Earl Grey at my local tea shop today and then bought my first China Lapsang Souchong. Wanted to know your favorites. Love the possibilities of pairing with cheese, fruit and chocolate. Saw some comments you made on a discussion about smoke. Could not send you a note for whatever reason. Opinion’s?

Erm, my opinion, Or in LiberTEAS opinion? I’m certain, based on her tea experience and her passion around food, she could give you great information about pairing a smokey tea with food.

I have only had a few Lapsang Souchongs, but for me, the smokier, the better. Seven Cups Strong Smoke is reeeeeaaaaalllllyyyy smokey! I’ve also had one that wasn’t smoky at all. I am also interested in food pairings, but I have nothing to offer at the moment. LiberTeas?

Thanks…I Was looking for yours based on what I read elsewhere – a comment by you on smoked tea. Will look Seven Cups up.

Your welcome. Seven Cups has great tea. I judge they are expensive, but their older teas that are on sale aren’t too pricy.

Has anyone tried it? I’m not wild about the addition of Artificial bacon bits. Some places do that.

not me, I can’t stand bacon. real, or fake! (too salty. I do enjoy the smoked part)
