Tea at Disney

I spent a few days at Disney World last week, and was surprised to find quality tea options. At Epcot, a small stand in Asia had Ten Ren Ginsing Oolong Tea. It was bagged, but I wasn’t about to complain. I also had some TGY in the Animal Kingdom, and this stand has loose leaf. I was pretty excited to get quality tea that I did not have to bring and make myself. Disney is the best at quality.

Does the China pavilion at Epcot still have the frozen teas? I think they had a frozen peach oolong that was very good. Not really a pure tea, but a nice and very unique treat. It’s been too long since I’ve been to Disney :( Where was the stand at in Animal Kingdom?

There were frozen flavored teas, but I cannot remember which stand had them. The tea stand in the Animal Kingdom was near Expedition Everest. I believe the ride is relatively new.

Yeah the frozen ones should be in/near the China pavilion. Cool to hear they have a tea stand (with loose leaf) by Expedition Everest. That ride is awesome. Now I really want to go just to see that tea stand! Even with the Florida resident discounts I don’t have the money right now :(

I did notice last time I was there that they were starting to market tea with Alice in Wonderland stuff. They had a tea press and a set of black teas (but in bags)

There were other places where tea was highlighted in the park. I know they had tea sets in the England section of Epcot. They had a Twinings display somewhere too. It is pretty cool.

That’s surprising but encouraging, I would not expect to find great tea at a place like Disney. I agree that Ten Ren is very good among bagged teas. I especially like their Ten Wu tea. They’re the company that first introduced me to greener oolongs.

I wonder if Disney is starting to sell the loose leaf and better quality bagged teas for the high volumes of Asian tourists. Just a thought. I doubt it’s for Americans.

The England part of Epcot has a whole store dedicated to tea. They also have a garden full of camellia sinensis plants, lavender, etc. Pretty cool stuff.

My brother went to DisneyLAND on a trip and brought me back actual Disney brand tea… Madhatter and… Something else. One was ginger peach, the other was bergamot something or other… They were pretty good!
