That is a pretty stellar deal. My grand-boss was just talking about this tea company earlier today, so I let her in on it too (and bought one!). I’ve been wanting to try a good sencha and a good dragonwell, since I’m fairly un-knowledgeable with green teas.
grand-boss…cool term! Honestly, the only thing I’m interested in from this company is their Coconut Pouchong, which is why I’m not trying this deal myself. Though I already have a healthy selection of green teas at home and little interest in black teas so I’m not really the target audience for this deal. I’m glad you found the info useful!
I just redeemed the last deal I bought a couple weeks ago for espemporium.com, so I didn’t want to buy more tea today. But I REALLY appreciate it when steepsters post these sorts of deals on the boards!
Received my Groupon sampler April 25. I had almost forgotten I had ordered this. Would love to do a big order after I try (so far French Breakfast has tickled my palate) but I think I need to prioritize my Groupon with ESP Emporium which expires this July, I think. Oh to be drowned in tea (dry tea leaves, that is).
oh, I just received my ESPemporium order from that sale. I ordered six teas and got 4 free samples (you might have to ask for the samples) and of all the teas I tried so far, they are all very good! It was very tough to pick which teas I wanted, as they all sound so good!
If you don’t mind, what did you choose? Their Easter 25% off sale tempted me to: Chinese Sencha, Japanese Sencha, Premium Gyokuro HIKI (no idea what that means) Mango Sencha, Wild Grey, Christmas Berry, Sweet Orange Mate, Piña Colada rooibos, Snowflake Secret and Bon Bon and their Magic Tea Filter ( really good polycarbonate body, easy lift lid and removeable stainless steel filter). Sounds like I’m plugging them, eh? Only tried the rooibos so far. I noticed they have yixing pots too, so if I’m not tempted by you with tea, may use my Groupon for tea ware.
They are all listed (and more info) is listed in my cupboard. But the teas I bought from espemporium are: Vanilla Black, Japan Genmaicha Green, Strawberry/Lemon/Basil rooibos, Roasted Almond, Miami-Ice Fruit tea, Butter Truffle
The first four of those are really good. The Miami-Ice probably a little less good, but sometimes fruit teas can never have a strong flavor. And I haven’t tried the butter truffle yet.
And the free samples (they are pretty decent sized samples): Spicy Chai, Russian Samovar, Formosa Oolong, Strawberry/Lichee Green
I’ve tried the first two listed of these and they are also really good. I really wish I could have tried even just one cup samples of most of their teas, just so I knew which teas to buy. BUT none of these are disappointing, so I’m happy!
