Time frame for "using up" steeped leaves?
I second the iced tea idea. When at Red Blossom Tea Company they advised me to stick any leftover tea leaves in the fridge and cold brew them. I’ve done it a few times with more expensive teas that I didn’t want to waste.
That is exactly what I’m doing with my heap of steeped leaves at the end of the day: put it in a pitcher, fill with cold water and refrigerate over night. The next day you have a great iced tea. You may pre-add some honey in it. I like to call this “tea-juice.” I like to make tea-juice out of quality white tea or flavoured white tea. If your type of tea is not so good, then you’ll squeeze some lemon juice in it and again it will be fine.
