I’m in love with the Citrus Lavender Sage from Teavana – I’m not huge on citrus or sage when they’re hot, but iced they balance each other out fantastically!
And Adagio’s Irish Breakfast with milk is also delicious, especially iced.
Right now I like Harney & Sons Fine Teas Hot Cinnamon Spice.
Matcha or Powdered Sencha I will sometimes do cold if I need to have some tea but have very little time.
Lupicia Honeydew, oh wait, I can’t be part of this contest, boo!
I’m not really a fan of iced tea – I can’t pinpoint any exact reasons, but I’m just not. The closest I come to enjoying it is Nestea powder – which isn’t even tea! However, I do like fruity teas iced. David’s Tea’s Goji Pop and Bear Trap stand out. More often than not I would rather have cold water than iced tea, but that’s just me. : )
I like some blacks cold brewed, I use oolong for iced tea and I love matcha made with cold milk if that counts.
My favorite ice brewed is Early Grey Creme;it is amazing.
If I’m allowed to suggest a non-tea, then I’d have to say vanilla rooibos makes a surprisingly nice iced tea. It’s really nice sweetened with a little splash of milk and has a scent reminiscent of Thai iced tea.
But if I had to stick with a tea, then definitely Thai iced tea. It’s a terribly sweet beverage, but I’m partial to having cold drinks that aren’t water or milk be very sweet.
H&S Passion Fruit Iced Tea is currently my favorite iced tea, as it not only tastes good, but it fills the kitchen with a wonderful tropical aroma every time I brew it (I hot brew it, then ice it). http://www.harney.com/Details.cfm?ProdID=3901&category=58&secondary=0
My recently discovered favourite is Cherry Potion by DAVIDs Tea. It is not very good hot, but when you ice it.. Oooh my!
It’s cherry wonderful (in the most non-artificial way). There is also a very lovely creaminess on the sides of my tongue which peaks out from the white tea and surprises me every time. I love how naturally sweet it is too! It’s my juice (I don’t drink juice because of the sweet factor.. and its loaded with sugar).. so I am very thankful for this refreshing iced tea!
By the way.. I usually start it brewing in hot water first at about 3/4th the amount of water required, then after the typical brew time is up, I add some ice cubes (until it reaches my required water line) and put it in the fridge overnight. I never have it watered down as ice is less dense then water, and therefore when the ice melts it’s a little bit under the required water line! Perfect method for me! =)
