In your cupboard?

I generally have all of my teas in my cupboard. When swapping, I usually warn the person that some of the teas I have are samples and then let them know if they chose one that I don’t have enough to send.
Seems a little complicated sometimes. But I like to see all the teas I have in my cupboard at times and take them out if I ever finish one….which doesn’t happen very often!

I do this too. I have never noticed anybody be less than understanding about it might not be possible for me to share all the things they want with them.

I, like some others, keep only teas I have enough of to swap in my cupboard. I do wish there was a way to add how much of a tea you have, or whether it was swappable, but put that on my list of Steepster wishes that will never happen. Anyway, I don’t put samples on my list, and generally I only add a tea if I have more than 1oz of it.

I cheat. I wait until Missy puts things in the cupboard, and then go copy them when I find differences. This may not work for everyone.

If it makes more than one cup, I add it, or if I know I’m not going to drink it for awhile. Especially since I’ve started brewing gong fu style, so samples make three or four sessions.

I’m a completionist, so I do. The exception for me is teabags if they’re not already in the system, or if it’s something brandless. It makes it easier for me to see what I’ve got at any given time, and when I want to try something that I haven’t had before, I sometimes go to the part of my cupboard where it says I haven’t posted about them yet, and choose from those.

I use my cupboard as an inventory for myself for when I want to order tea (easier than running back to the tea cupboard to check all the time, or like, remembering). I also put teas there as possible conversation starters-if someone wants to ask about or discuss a tea in my cupboard. Generally, samples do not get put in my cupboard because I save what I don’t want to pass out to friends and family.

I typically put everything in my cupboard including samples. One exception is a tea that is brandless. It just makes it a bit easier for me to keep track of everything I have. I don’t swap very often so I’ve yet to have a problem with someone asking for something that I don’t have a lot of.

If it has a brand and a name, it goes in the cupboard. I can only think of 1 or 2 exceptions offhand and even that niggles at the back of my mind sometimes. I put it in the cupboard no matter the size, because I like “removing” it from the cupboard when it’s all gone- which is rare. I actually need to clear out a number of samples but it always seems like such a lot of work and I hate drinking things just to finish them off.
