Please Help Me Figure Out What Teas To Buy During My Splurge!

What are your favorite greens and pu-erhs that they carry? (assuming you like both green and pu-erh tea)

Who are you asking Kwinter? And what company?

I don’t rememer who I was asking honestly haha, all these replies came after I made this last post. But I was asking about Verdant, what are your favorites?

Azzrian said

LOL oh well so far the ones I listed on page 1 :)

I haven’t tried any of their pu-erhs yet. I have just received in the mail today an ounce of yabao, needless to say I haven’t gotten around to trying it yet. As for their green teas I have to say that I am particularly fond of their Sun Dried Jingshan. The Spring Harvest Dragonwell Style Laoshan I find really enjoyable as well.

Also, Verdant has sample kits on their site that allow you to try different teas. http://verdanttea.com/shop/samples/

Kwinter, the beauty of what I offer is a lot of different teas from a lot of different companies along with teas that I personally blend. So if it is samples you would like you may want to take a look at my site…

Thank you for your consideration. :)

Your welcome! :)

Hi Rachel, I’ll make sure to check it out but that link isn’t working. I also tried googling iheartteas and there was an error when I clicked on the link my search provided as well.

Hi Kwinter, I apologize the site has been down today for maintenance. Just bad timing. :( I will be sure to post an ETA so you can check out the site. Again, I am really sorry about the issue. I am hoping everything should be complete by first thing tomorrow morning.

Update: If you would like to see a selection of homemade products I also have an Etsy site.
www.Etsy.com/shop/iHeartTeas

When my regular site is fully functional again I will let you know. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks for your patience :)

Site is back up and running. Enjoy! :)

Try the Premium First Flush Darjeelings from Mariage Freres.
2011 FF Castleton
2011 FF Jungpana
2011 FF Moondakotee
2011 FF Margaret’s Hope
2011 FF Bloomfield
2011 FF Namring (DJ1)
2011 FF Namring Upper
For 2012 I have tried
2012 FF Ambootia
2012 FF Nurbong

Were/are all excellent.

You can find much lower prices on the above listed teas than from Mariage. Upton, Tea Trekker, Thunderbolt, etc. offer great FF Darjeeling teas yet which I have tasted, yet I still prefer to pay the extra expense because the FF Darjeelings from Mariage are simply the best in aroma, taste, and flavor.

The 2012 Ambootia is fabulous. Light in body taste and has floral notes which rounds out the overall flavor of the Darjeeling. Very green in terms of taste and color.

They should have their full stock of 2012 FF Darjeelings by the end of May (So they say), and I intend to place my online purchases then. I picked up the two 2012 FF Darjeelings from Mariage Freres in Japan while i was there a few days ago.

Kwinter, what kind of tea do you like? Verdant is good quality, as a lot of other people mentioned, but I have found myself a bit disappointed by some of their teas which are just not to my liking. (no flames, please)

There are so many teas in the world to try, I would actually recommend you make a list of the ones you want and then look for the best sellers that have those. I have also had good luck with Red Blossom Tea, Mandala, Harney, Upton Tea Imports, and Rishi, among others.

For FF darjeelings, I have had a bunch this year. I did like the Harney Puttabong but you can also get a FF 2012 sampler from Upton if you want to try a few from different estates.

Upton has a ton of samples which you can get from $1.00 up, so I have found them to be a terrific option if I want to sample a lot of things but don’t have a lot of money. I hope that helps!
