Could anyone recommend a good but inexpensive IBT?

I need to buy some loose leaf Irish Breakfast Tea in quantity. It is usually my first couple of cups in the morning before I switch to green. I am not looking to break the bank, and I’m sure there are some fantastic ones out there that cost $8-9 per 2 oz., but that’s not what I’m looking for. I used to get Teavana IBT for around $3/2oz. Presently, I’m looking to buy a pound or two. Thanks Steepster community!

Inexpensive ideas – Twinings loose or English Tea Store. Never tried either myself but the ETS is around $13-14/pound.

twinings is good compared to the other bagged teas ive tried… loose tea you may want to try uptons as they have a lot of black teas, some very cheap; granted im not sure how they compare to other teas.

Adagio has a pretty cheap Irish Breakfast: $5 for 3oz. Upton also has 125 grams for $5.

Thanks, I use Twinings tea bags for travel, but like loose at home. I’ll look into ETS and Upton.

English Tea Store has excellent black teas you can purchase in bulk at good rates!

TropicalTeaCo has one for $1/oz. I can’t say I have a lot of experience with Irish breakfast teas though, so I haven’t compared them a lot.

Though, Upton tends to get higher ratings on their tea… and their River Shannon (Irish Breakfast) blend gets pretty darn cheap when you buy the 1000g (2.2lb) bag.

The twinings loose leaf IBT is pretty good, do you not have Twinings loose leaf in the States?

I don’t love the Twinngs loose IBT, but Adagio’s is great, and their prices are fantastic.
