I placed a small order from Tealux today for a bamboo matcha whisk, 4 small screw-lock tins, cocoa spice puerh, maple chai puerh, and chocolate monkey rooibos.
I probably shouldn’t have, but I haven’t bought anything fun for a while. :) #excuses
I also just spent $12 (with shipping) to get all the oolong samples from Tealux. I’ll get to try 9 different oolongs. Hopefully that’ll give me a good mix of green/roasty/earthy etc so that I get a better feel for oolongs.
4 Featured Min-Yue Oolong Teas Assortment Samples
Quantity : (7g * 2) * 4 [Zip Bag] 1 $5.90
Oolong Month Gift Pack – Featured Taiwan Oolong Tea Sample Assortment (5 sachets) 1 $2.90
Golden Monkey Black Tea – 7g
I’m not really sure this counts as an order, but I just got the three free samples from Yezi Tea. Just had to pay for shipping ($2.95) so it comes out to less than a buck a sample. Not to shabby. Lol.
I’m trying their Yi Fu Chun Black Tea, Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong “I can’t believe it’s not scotch” Black Tea, & Jin Jun Mei Black Tea. So we’ll see how that goes.
Also got some of the Twinnings free samples sent to me.
Now I just have to resist placing an Adagio order since they got a few blends I wanted to try back in stock…And I want to try a few more samples…But I still haven’t opened the ones I already have… /bites lip/ Does it count as breaking a Hiatus if you use points to pay for most (possibly all) of a purchase? Lol!
I just got Darlenes Pumpkin Spice, never had this places tea, anyone have any idea of how it is? Got 4oz shipped from ebay for 7.65.
Tried looking for reviews here, didn’t find any.
cavocorax, a screw-lock tin? Does that mean you’ll need a screw driver to open it? That’s hardcore! LOL
I’m actually in the market for a few tins myself, because I’ll be placing my Butiki order in the near future, and will need tins to store the five million pounds of tea I intend on ordering.
Ok, so I caved. These orders are my first from dellaterra and verdant!
Try me sampler pack:
(Tea Choice: spiced caramel apple, fireside spice, orange and cream, orange brulee, minty cow (black tea))
From verdant: vanilla citrus spice, and orchard spice.
I can’t wait!
Haha. I just mean it screws on, instead of pops on. And they’re for matcha which us perfect. I love how 4 1.99 tins turned into a $35 order.
And I like your choices! Hope they don’t disappoint. (How is it that I only have 1 Della Terra Tea now? Gonna have to wait for November now)
I got almost the same Verdant order earlier this week, but with a sample of imperial breakfast summer blend added, so excited for them to arrive!! And your DT order looks delish, I have been tossing up the idea of a sample pack with fall teas, and Minty Cow (which apparently was formerly Shamrocks & Shenanigans) was my favorite chocolate tea, so I might need to get some of that too! :)
Just put in my very first Della Terra order! I ended up deciding on six teas… The Friday the 13th sale was just too good of an opportunity to pass up.
Teas I picked were:
Cherry Cola & Cake
The Perfect Pear
I’m binging right now. I currently have outstanding orders with:
New Mexico Tea Co.
Design a Tea
Then I saw a recommendation for Camellia Sinensis on the “recommend an online seller thread”. Looked at their website and this is exactly the kind of company that I usually like ordering from so……this sort of happened.
Chai Camellia 50g
Ombrelle de Papier 50g
Shui Xian Lao Cong 50g
Feng Huang Hong Cha 50g
Luku Hong Cha 50g
And I don’t normally order teaware from companies I’ve never dealt with, but I made the mistake in looking – big mistake – and added this to my order:
I think it is just BEAUTIFUL. This will be my third yixing teapot. I really need to season them……
OMG I have to stop. Saw a posting by a company called The TeaCupany on one of the other threads, took a look at their website. Tons of flavored teas, ability to order small (10g AND 25g) samples, really inexpensive. Never heard of them, nothing listed here on Steepster – shrug, I’ll jump in, I’ll see what they are all about, and this happened…
Candied Apple (10 grams) x 1 – $1.50 (CAD)
Chocolate Chai (25grams) x 1 – $2.50 (CAD)
Choconut Mate (25grams) x 1 – $2.50 (CAD)
Cucumber White (10 grams) x 1 – $2.00 (CAD)
Green Rhubarb (10 grams) x 1 – $1.50 (CAD)
Oolong Grapefruit (10 grams) x 1 – $1.50 (CAD)
Pumpkin Pie (25grams) x 1 – $2.50 (CAD)
Spicy Chai (25grams) x 1 – $2.50 (CAD)
Sweet Cherry (25grams) x 1 – $2.50 (CAD)
Sweet Potato Pie (10 grams) x 1 – $1.50 (CAD)
Sweet Red Mango (25grams) x 1 – $2.50 (CAD)
Tangy Cranberry (10 grams) x 1 – $1.50 (CAD)
Research, that’s it – I’m researching different teas so that I’ll know what I want to replace/stock on Black Friday….
Oh, MissLena, I should have probably gotten the summer breakfast blend as well! ah well, what can you do? Just got confirmation that my verdant shipped, so now I just wait!
I’ll be back in here momentarily because I think I’ll be placing my butiki order this morning.
Yeah I had to pick up a sample to see what it’s like, so much love for it on here! I probably could have gotten an oz, but I must cut back on tea! I should place another Butiki order, I really want to try the Wild Taiwanese and the PTA..I’ll sip down a few teas first though :)
Oh boy! Sil posted on the Misc Sales page that Taiwan Tea Crafts are having a 20% off sale! I’ve been meaning to order from them as they got GABA Oolongs for a fair price plus lots of great looking oolongs. /Oolong Owl Hoot
They also have a free shipping coupon for $25 orders with a sample for first time buyers. Sadly, I went over $25. I couldn’t take anything out of the cart and the 20% deal was killer on 50g bags. But at least I didn’t spend $50!
Organic Red Jade GABA Oolong Tea, Lot 204 50 g
Organic GABA Oolong Tea, Lot 201 50 g
Baguashan Gui Fei Oolong Tea, Lot 160 50 g
High Mountain Hong Shui Oolong Tea, Lot 121 50 g
Mingjian Charcoal Roasted Tea, Lot 112 50 g
Songboling Shui Xian Tea, Lot 118 25 g sample
$46 HURRRRRGGAAH! Oh well, I’ll be good on oolongs for awhile.. I think. I hope.
Bwahaha! New Butiki teas are out and I’m going to have them very very soon. Just placed an order for:
Champagne & Rose Cream
Cantaloupe & Cream
and some brown crystal sugar so I can actually try these teas sweetened. So that’s only… 6 types of tea totaling 63 cups. Nope, not at all overboard. Not at all.
