I was hoping to not buy any tea until at least February, but I couldn’t pass up Butiki’s buy $40, get $20 of free tea deal.

Peach HoppiTea
Cider Guayusa
Rhubarb Vanilla Ale
Crimson Horizon
Irish Cream Cheesecake
Maple Pecan Oolong
Grapefruit Dragon

Bonus teas: 1991 Aged Oolong, 2003 Aged Oolong, Black Lotus

I want to place a Verdant order for their aged and roasted oolongs, but that’s an additional $47 order and I’m not sure I can justify spending over $90 on tea over the course of two days at the moment.

I’ll just distract myself for the rest of the weekend with the many teas I currently have. :D

Eeek! Super excited! Birthday (tea) money is burning a hole through my pocket. Sooooo…

I just placed my first 52teas order and took advantage of the 15% off Black Friday Cyber sale.
I ordered: Pancake Breakfast, Cinnamon Roll Honeybush, Butterbeer, Pina Colada Honeybush, and Rainbow Sherbet Black Tea
TOTAL: $38.21

I also made my first David’s tea order this weekend, as they had a free shipping promotion:

Red Velvet Cake-50g
Birthday Cake (in Rainbow tin)-100g
Mulberry Magic-50g
Buttered Rum-100g
TOTAL: $41.75

This should satisfy my dessert tea needs for a bit!; )

I placed orders with Georgia Tea Company, Taiwan Tea Crafts, Lupicia, Mandala, Teavivre, 52teas, Zen Tea, Art of Tea, Fusion Teas, Joy’s Teaspoon, Della Terra, Yezi Tea, Verdant, Yunomi, and Butiki. Whew. The timing was good in that I’ve only in the past couple months cemented a coherent “certain teas from certain companies I want ALWAYS” so it’s mostly restocks with a few “sampler extravaganza” orders from the few I hadn’t already tried but have wanted to for months (Georgia, Art of Tea, Fusion). I’m jumping on that Golden Moon sale (sooooo excited) and will use the voucher from Verdant sometime in January to restock a couple winter blends and try the new chai everyone’s talking about, but other than that I am definitely done with tea aside from swaps for a looooooong time.

I’m most excited about the kamairicha and sakura samples I got from Yunomi, as well as the tea candies (they have candies flavored with genmaicha, matcha, and hojicha). Also can’t wait to throw some of the haul into swap boxes! As for restocks, I’m thrilled I’ll have plenty of Verdant’s Golden Fleece (!!!!), Teavivre’s milk oolongs, Mandala’s Morning Sun, Lupicia’s Earl Grey Grand Classic, and all the coconut/fruit/tropical-fresh flavored greens and oolongs from various sources back in my cupboard.

Wow! That is amazing. You should gather it all together in one glorious tea pile when it all comes and take a picture for us.

Hee, the funny thing is the Georgia one arrived first in a gigantic box and when I opened it it was packed to the gills—that order alone would take up my whole table I think (their sample sizes are huge, each one comes in a plastic bag inside a paper sack shaped and sized like the ones scone mix or cheese straws come in). Husband’s eyes popped out and he said understatedly “that’s a lot of tea” and then I told him a single big sample sack was like $1-1.50 tops after discounts and he was impressed.

Excited about swapping!

I definitely have purchased more than I thought I would this last weekend. I made orders at Teavivre, Adagio (chamomile for my nephew thanks to their free shipping on all orders….and it was delivered by the Post Office today, a Sunday!), and I even caved on Della Terra (I love some of those Holiday blends!). I even ordered a little taste of matcha from Red Leaf Tea. All in all, it is still less than last year, which is good, because I think I have enough tea in my stash for an emergency, a simultaneous drought in all tea producing areas of the world, or the apocalypse, whichever might come along…..

Where is this mystical place where the post office delivers on a Sunday?

Congrats on your haul! Enjoy it well.

I know in Canada, during high mail season (ie. December), Canada post delivers parcels on Sundays, but no lettermail. Not sure if this is the same in the US.

It was only packages, but it was a first for Sunday delivery for me!

Oh dear,
I’m afraid that I’m using my birthday month, combined w/ Black Friday sales, as a sorry excuse to place my third tea order this holiday weekend. Shrugs.

All the wonderful reviews in these parts made me place my first Della Terra order today. The bonus is that all teas are 35% off right now. Yay!

2 oz. of Winter Nog and 1 oz. each of:
Oatmeal Cookie
Carrot Cake

Finally placed the Harney & Sons order I have been blabbering on about. I went with 4 oz of both SoHo and Boston blends and a 20 satchet tin of Vanilla Comoro. Thank you Cavocorax for letting me try all the teas before I placed an order. This order would have looked very different had you not sent me the samples to try.

Caved and placed an order with Verdant today for Puerh Monday. Used my $10 certificate and don’t need to make another order for a while. I don’t know why I always order from Verdant and Teavivre at the same time. It’s a sickness! :)

Vanilla Citrus Spice – Amount: 1 oz.
Laoshan Black Chocolate Genmaicha – Amount: 2 oz.
Master Han’s Shu Pu’er 2002 – Amount: 1 oz
Master Han’s 2013 Sheng Pu’er – Amount: 1 oz.
Master Han’s Looseleaf 2004 Shu Pu’er – Amount: 1 oz.
Zhu Rong Yunnan Black – Amount: 1 oz.
Laoshan Black – Amount: 2 oz.

WAAAHHHGGGRRRRRGHH!

I made a plan, stuck to it (and was proud of myself) and then I see Verdant’s 25% off pu’er. My will slowly faded and I caved in.

Master Han’s 2004 Shu
Master Han’s 2013 Sheng
Master Han’s 2002 Shu (all 2oz)
and samples of Laoshan Village Chai and Yu Lu Yan Chai to give to my sister’s boyfriend, who I’m meeting for the first time after christmas.

I want to try that Sheng…but MUST RESIST!
