I ordered one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002Q710ZY/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My strainers are starting to fall apart and I always have to use a ramekin to hold my strainer so I thought this would be awesome and its cheap, oh and purdy. :)

I have one of these and absolutely love it. I have had no problems with it and it works for everything, although not great for rooibos.

Azzrian said 2013-02-22 23:39:05 -0500

Ah then I will be fine I RARELY drink rooibos. :) Good to hear you like it!

After a few days of filling and emptying my cart, I broke down and ordered from Yunnan Sourcing:
Qing Hui Ni Clay “Shi Piao” Yixing Clay Teapot * 160ml
2008 Mengku “Certified Organic” Raw Pu-erh tea * 300g 1 cake (300 grams)
2006 LCGC “003” Jing Mai Mountain Raw Pu-erh tea cake 1 cake (357 grams)
2007 Haiwan “Purple Bud” Raw Pu-erh Tea cake 1 cake (357 grams)
Pu-erh tea cake or brick prying pick / needle * Simple
Ben Shan Green Clay “Dragon Egg” Yixing teapot 150ml

As you can see, I’m branching into Sheng Pu’erh. After a few tastes of Shu, I’ve decided that Sheng is the better fit for me. It should take a while to arrive, which is good. I’ll be back from my trip by then.
Yunnan Sourcing have a 15% discount on all green and white teas with the code green15 until the 1st of March, and 20% on all green teas in their Yunnan Sourcing US site, for those interested.

Della Terra Order.. at 4am! yeah!

Strawberries and Cream 1oz
Wonders of Kashmir 1oz (I GIVE YOU CORN)
Lemon Lime Cream Tart (2oz gamble that will be most likely a win)
+ 2 samples. I wasn’t sure if I got to choose, but I put down some suggestions.

$14 and change with shipping. I forgot that Della Terra’s shipping is quite low!

I love Della Terra’s shipping—I placed an order totaling 4 ounces and the shipping was $2. Put on top of all the sales I can never resist…

Got a coupon from Fab in the mail so found some Dammann Feres tea I selected Quatre Fruits Rouges. Ended up paying 10.50 for it after the discount.
I honestly don’t know if you can use this coupon or not but the code is fab.com/eat
If you don’t have an account here is a link to join and I think we both get some credit.
http://fab.com/q1cc84
If you don’t have an account then click the join link first THEN go to the fab.com/eat link and see if you get the extra 10.00 in credit. You could end up paying only shipping (around 4.50) on tea!

The $50 spice sets on there really made me appreciate the indian spice set I got for my sister more. Didn’t even realize how much it would cost in the U.S. The one I got for her came with 2 sticks of fresh organic vanilla which she particularly prices and is saving for a super special occasion.

Azzrian said 2013-02-25 17:41:17 -0500

Yeah I love spices of all kinds and usually get mine from Savory Spice Shop or a few other places online like Mountain Rose Herbs etc. Spices can really get out of control expensive.

Small
yappychappy said 2013-02-25 17:58:14 -0500

Wonder how Mountain Rose Herbs’s chai is. At $7 for 4 oz I’m almost up to order some.

I know there are some reviews for them here on steepster. I have never tried their tea, but only because I have not placed an herb order from them since I started drinking loose leaf. I will give them a go sometime.

Dinosara said 2013-02-25 19:55:49 -0500

I got the credit by going to that address, but I can’t find any Dammann on the site! Did it sell out/close?

I will link it to you – its under FOODIE

Hmm I replied again but it didn’t post. I did find them eventually, though I am wondering if there are others hidden since I didn’t see the one you bought anywhere

Azzrian said 2013-02-25 20:09:01 -0500

That one IS sold out :(

Small
Dinosara said 2013-02-25 20:11:36 -0500

Yeah figured I though it was odd that it didn’t seem to be listed anywhere. Anyway I will be picking up a tin of Goût Russe, thanks for posting the link!

Ohhh they all sound yummy! I love FAB. They often have great teas on there and they tend to snail mail me a 10 off coupon about once a month or at least once every other month! :)

The Jardin Bleu was really good too – I had a hard time choosing! I know I will regret not getting more but we are about to get snowed in here and we really need to spend some money at the grocery NOT on “MORE TEA

Sil said 2013-02-25 20:57:04 -0500

Azzrian – would love to trade you for 4 fruits unless i end up picking some of this up through the deal. I wanted to get it while i was here, but the price difference is too big.

Small
Azzrian said 2013-02-25 21:01:17 -0500

I am sure we can arrange a sample trade with each other. This deal is pretty good though – I know I always kick myself for not getting on these deals when they come up. This time I got at least one of them :)

Small
Sil said 2013-02-25 21:11:07 -0500

Pretty good if you’re shipping to the US lol there’s a 10$ charger per product tacked on to shipping to canada. Ridiculous! sigh i should just move to France… :)

I could pick up Jardin Bleu here in china…maybe if i don’t get time to find more chinese tea i’ll pick some up. I for sure haven’t spent nearly as much as i set aside for spending here lol. No time!

yappychappy said 2013-02-25 19:39:48 -0500

Ugh. may have to order something. 6 oz of tea for 15.37?!

Small
Azzrian said 2013-02-25 19:54:31 -0500

I know right! I have had the snowflake before and really enjoyed it!

Small
Awkward Soul said 2013-02-25 20:14:29 -0500

gahh, I’m tempted to get in on this sale!

Small
Azzrian said 2013-02-25 20:18:41 -0500

Well I went for it ONLY because I have had the snowflake and know it is good. The others we shall see but I am a sucker to try ANY new Strawberry Cream tea that I can. At this price if they are all even good teas, but not great, you can’t be the price. I mean at least its some good tea then to have when you don’t have time to sit and contemplate a cup.
I mean like yappychappy said – 6 oz for 15 bucks – you can’t beat it – unless it sucks….but I know the Snowflake does not. So even if only the snowflake is good – that is 4 ounce for 15 bucks.
Have I talked you into it yet?

Small
Sil said 2013-02-25 21:11:50 -0500

oh man…those are pretty good prices.

I’ve been caving left and right this month! But I’m really excited about this order from Butiki, so I don’t regret it.

2003 Reserve Four Season Oolong – 1 ounce (excited to try an aged oolong!)

Taiwanese Wild Mountain Black – 1/2 ounce (there was no way after tasting a sample of this one that I could have avoided buying more!)

Genmaicha – 1 ounce (My first genmaicha!)

Now, someone change my paypal password and hide my debit card somewhere safe for at least two months!
