Yixing Tea Pot – Bamboo Mean Green Tangerine Passionfruit Oolong White Orange Ginger Peach Acai Berry White Pomegranate White

Caraway. Sheesh. Lol but it was less than $40.00 and free shipping. Lord someone stop me!!!

Babble said

I’m presuming these were sample sizes of tea

Sorry. I could not get it to separate the names. Strange.

Azzrian said

Sorry I can’t stop people from getting LEGEN (wait for it) DARY deals! :)

Babble said

No problem. Were they samples?

Azzrian said

I am going to make a guess being that its not my order BUT based on other peoples orders and the pricing at that site I would say some of them are and some of them are not samples. The yixing would be about 22.00
Each sample is about 2.00 since her order came to around 40.00 and most of their teas run between 8-12 bucks full price and this is less than half price – and she didn’t order THAT many teas some of them probably were full sizes. Just a guess.

Babble said

Makes sense. Lol. Detective Azzrian is on the case!

Alright, I’m discovering this a dangerous place.

Ordered an Ingenuitea for my mom’s birthday (from Amazon so as to not be tempted by other tea from Adagio). Some tins from Specialty Bottle for her gift basket/thing.

Then from David’s tea:
Birthday Cake 100g
Oh Canada! 50g
Swampwater 50g
Organic Cream of Earl Grey 50g
Organic Buttered Rum 50g
3 teas for $5 (three green tea samples)
Perfect measuring spoon (2)

Some for me and some for my mom, I had to include birthday cake for her! I needed some more rooibos as it’s becoming my favorite evening/caffeine-free tea.

Oh yes, kiaharii, this place is indeed dangerous. Are you ready for it?
Steepster will suck you in and your collection of 5 teas, which seems adequate at the moment, will somehow expand to fill multiple cabinets and shelves. But you’ll keep wanting more. You’ll start debating which plates and bowls you can get rid of so you can store your collection of teapots, tea mugs, tea bowls, gaiwans and steeper baskets. You start cutting your food and clothing budget so that you can buy more tea.
One day, you’ll wake up to discover teas stored in your bedroom, office, kitchen, and living room along with an emergency tea kit in your travel bag for when you have to be away from your stash. There will be 2-3 teas brewing at the same time because you want to experiment or you can’t stand the idea that once you finish one cup, you’ll have to wait 3 minutes for another one to brew. You need them back to back. You need to compare the 3 different samples of Mi Lan Dan Cong to determine the differences from different suppliers.

If you stay on Steepster, this will become your life. Welcome…. muahahaha

Also, fantastic selection of teas from David’s. I believe those are some of their most popular. :) And if you like rooibos, consider trying honeybush. It’s similar to rooibos but a slightly sweeter profile with less of a medicinal flavor. 52teas makes some great honeybush blends. :)

Since joining Steepster I have spent way more than I thought I ever would. And most of that has been on teas to drink Iced this summer. Come the cool weather I will need to stock up again!

Azzrian said

LOL yes just read the “you know your addicted to tea when…” thread!

Kiaharii said

I think I can handle it (my bank account hopes I can). My Mint account already has a budget set up, now to follow it. :)

I’ve tried honeybush before, and I think I liked it. I have some really really old samples (like really old), that I’m going to give a whirl. It can’t hurt right (no mold, just old, so they may not taste the best).

Azzrian said

Doubt it will hurt anything – probably lacking in flavor at worst.
What is a “mint” account?

Kiaharii said

Mint is a money management site/program/thingy run by the people who do Quicken. Helps me track spending, categorized purchases, etc. :)

Azzrian said

Ah nice – thanks I had no idea what it was. :)

White Monkey King
Golden Monkey
Yunnan TGFOP (no clue what this really is…)
Coconut Chai

From Caraway Tea Company

Black Dragon Pearls
Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls
Precious White Peach

From Teavana

I was really tempted to try things with Monkey and Dragon in the names…

TGFOP stands for Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe. Its a grading of tea.

Way to ruin the mystery, just kidding. Thanks for telling me.

No problem. Yes, but at least you still have the mystery of SFTGFOP. What could the letters S & F stand for? Perhaps Super Friends? Or maybe Seriously Funky? Or even Simply Fickle? Nope, none of those. New mystery achieved.

She’s just being nice. It’s really Too Good For Ordinary People.

Dylan-Hahaha, that’s a good one.
