I’m a huge fan of dessert, but it’d be great if we could steer this into more of a discussion about tea.

Maybe top 5 dessert teas?

I’m going to do a top five of both desserts and dessert teas. They’ll be in no particular order.

Desserts:

1. Vegan Cowgirl cookies
2. cheesecake
3. Sex in a Pan
4. dark chocolate
5. my grandma’s carrot cake

Dessert teas:

1. Remedy Cafe’s Kashmir Chai, hot or iced (this stuff is CRACK)
2. Tea Desire’s Walnut Truffle, hot
3. 52teas’ Coconut Cream Pie, iced
4. Steeps’ Chocolate Dipped Strawberry, hot
5. DT’s Read My Lips, hot (haven’t tried it iced yet though)

Funny how the two lists have nothing in common.

Alright, I can live with that :)

BTW, have you tried the the Coconut Cream Pie as a latte? http://steepster.com/lfiske29/posts/24744

No not yet, but I’ve been meaning to give that a whirl! Sounds fantastic. I rarely add anything to my teas.

Excellent shift to Dessert teas!!! I agree with ssajami that Dessert Teas can be just as good as the real thing… …or even better!!!!

Here go mine:
1- Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish (52teas)
2- Pancake Breakfast (52teas)
3- Pumpkin Cheesecake (52teas)
4- Black Chocolate (The Spice and Tea Exchange)
5- Birthday Cake (Adagio)

Yeah… I’ll admit to being a 52teas fan girl…

They do have a number of ones that work great as dessert teas.

Okay, in order to be a good dessert tea, it needs to be caffeine free (I need my beauty sleep!) and good with add-ins like sugar, cream, amaretto, etc. While I enjoy most teas straight up, a dessert tea needs to be desserty if I’m having it for dessert!

Caramel Creme Rooibos – Element Tea
Neapolitan Honeybush – 52 Teas
Mint Chocolate Rooibos – David’s Tea
Spicy Chocolate – SpecialTeas (RIP)
Coconut Custard – Teas Etc.

I only wish I could add matchas but they are just too caffeinated to consume at night. Alas.
