Are you sweet or unsweet?
I have to, always have. Thought I hated herbal tea until I put a bit of sugar in it, for me it definitely brings up the flavor. I’ve had somewhat blah teas turn out to be great with just a bit of sugar.
It really depends on the tea. For chai, I like to drink it a little sweet. For cold teas, I always have sweet tea. Most fruit teas are good w/o sugar, and herbals usually require a little bit of sugar to bring out the flavour
I generally put sugar and milk in my tea. I just like it. I saw someone post one time that the best way to make tea is the way that tastes best to you. I’m finding I like a few teas without anything added like the white tea I just got from Teajo and the chrysanthemum pu-erh from Porto Rico Imports.
Depends on the tea and the situation. Generally I don’t mind a little bit of sweetness in my tea as well as milk but occasionally I enjoy a cup of straight tea with nothing added. Especially during the winter time.
Unsweetened. There are probably some teas that would do well with a little sweetener, but I mostly stick with flavored teas that don’t really need any additional sweetener.
It depends on the tea. For black tea (and sometimes chai), I like it with milk and sugar.
two teaspoons of sugar in black teas sometimes milk, and one teaspoon of honey in green and herbals.
unsweetened. my kids sometimes take it with honey, but only now and then. never drank my tea (or coffee) with sugar/honey.
drink my darjeeling with milk though.
I always try a new tea with nothing in it the first cup, then add sugar to the second cup. That way I know if the sugar brings out the flavor or hides it. I’ve never used milk except in chai, I’ll have to start giving it a try in some of my blacks. I only think about using honey in teas with lemon or ginger, I’m not sure why, I’m sure honey goes well with a lot of other things. I’ve never tried the other types of sweeteners, their a little pricey and I would rather spend my money on the tea.
