Well, it’s not on TV now, but Inara, the companion on Firefly has a tetsubin teapot with the hobnail design. The hobnail stands for strength. She is shown serving tea 3 times in the series and making a cup from a teabag for herself once. There is even a companion welcoming ceremony that we never actually get to see.

The George Lopez show, the sitcom, frequently has teapots all over the kitchen. One night I counted four. But they make tea using on teabag for a whole pot. Some writer who doesn’t drink tea got it wrong.

On an episode of I Love Lucy, Lucy and Ethel are putting on a play set in England. Lucy asks for tea, then, milk, then sugar. Last she asks for needle and thread. Ethel (playing her mother) asks her why and Lucy says “It appears I have a rip in my tea bag!”

Couldn’t find the clip online but Chef Paul Liebrandt was discussing online purchases on Martha Stewart today. He mentioned purchasing half an ounce of tea for about $500 dollars. Rather than inquire about the tea quality, Martha focused on how much that would come out for one cup. So many questions our group would have asked were sadly left for another day.

I started to wonder if Martha had ever done a segment on tea/teaware, then googled it and low and behold she had done several (shoulda known, scone baking and all), she even has her own line of teaware (surprize surprize) which btw one of her teapot lines has just been recalled. Its amazing she doesnt have her own line of teas…………

Joan Hickson in Agatha Christie’s series on BBC was often spotted enjoying her tea or speaking about tea.

Guiliana Rancic (Guiliana and Bill Rancic Reality Show) drank tea at a beautiful tea place in Chicago a few weeks/episodes ago with her mother in law and I didn’t catch what teahouse she was at.

I just thought of this- on the Jon & Kate + 8 episode where they announce their divorce, Jon and Kate took the kids out for a mothers day tea and breakfast. I think she also took the girls to a tea in NC once.

On Biggest Loser, they showed the constestants eating and Mike was blowing on a big mug of a hot beverage. They didn’t say what it was, but I think it was tea because it looked too light to be coffee. If it was coffee, I think it was some baaad coffee lol.

Two and a half men..Charlie is the big coffee drinker. Allen often makes a cup of night time tea. I only noticed this because their cups are Fiestaware.

Saw this during the Olympic coverage and thought everyone might enjoy it. They actually go to the Empress Hotel for tea. It is about 2 1/2 min into the clip.
