Life In Teacup gives free tea samples - Earliest 2010 green tea arrived!

Edit on Mar. 5, 2010:

Dear friends, earliest 2010 green tea has arrived at Life In Teacup. Purchase information will be updated soon at http://www.LifeInTeacup.com

Without exaggeration, it’s the earliest tea of the year. It was harvested on January, 1, 2010 in the subtropic region of Yunnan, China.

I have been thinking of sharing tea samples with steepsterites without shipping charge and wasn’t sure where to start. Now, here is a good start point :D From today on, the first 5 people who reply to this post can claim free sample of this tea and it will be shipped to you for free. To make the shipping more efficient, you are welcome to choose 2 other samples from LifeInTeacup.com for us to send along. This offer is valid for people who registered on steepster before yesterday and have at least 1 tasting note recorded before yesterday. The 5 receivers are selected based on their actual posting time as showed on steepster.

People who started “following” me on steepster before yesterday and people whom I am following, all of you are welcome to claim the free sample along with 2 other samples, with free shipping. Please send me steepster mail in 3 days if you are interested.

This offer is valid for previous receivers of free samples.

This offer is valid for North American addresses only.

Receivers don’t have any obligation pertaining to the free tea samples.

Thanks and all the rest of you are welcome to obtain free samples on LifeInTeacup.com too with small postage charged.

Original message:
Everyone is welcome to claim 3 free tea samples. Each sample is 7 gram (1/4 oz.), enough for 2-4 drinking sessions.

(Sorry we will have to charge $3 postage. But other than that no charge for the samples. We are working on an idea to eliminate the $3 postage charge for steepster members and other online tea forum members. Thanks!)

Sorry about that! I am a lame website constructor. Blush…
I will soon add the “add to cart” button next to the free sample column. Before it’s done, order can also be processed through email or “contact us” form. Thanks for pointing it out.

I just got my samples yesterday! I’m going to wait a little while to try them so that I’m not giving tasting notes through a bad head cold, though….

Some more information about our earliest 2010 green tea:

This tea, Frosty Spring Yunnan Roast green, is from a renowned small tea factory in Yunnan, Guan Zi Zai. The factory is famous as a small producer of high quality puerh.

This tea is the earliest green tea of 2010. Earliest, no exaggeration! The tea was harvested on the morning of January 1, 2010 in the subtropical region of Yunnan, China. It was processed on the same day till late night, and fine leaves were selected on January 2, 2010.

Yunnan is where human beings first ever discovered tea and made tea. The subtropical region of Yunnan has a winter warm enough for tea trees to grow, but cold enough to slow down the growing process with frequent frost. After a whole winter of bright sunshine and frosty nights, the spring tea leaves are extremely fresh and flavorful.

I’m lucky that I didn’t take forever deciding on my other samples then! I thought you were taking the order of the people replying here, not in the PM.

Thanks Gingko! Question: How do I add the Frosty Spring Yunnan Roast Green sample to my cart? I don’t see it on the samples page yet.

Cofftea said

Shanti, I just PMed Gingko and let him know what I want and gave him my address.

Just PM me your address and other sample choices. Don’t go through the shopping cart, since there is no money transaction involved.
