Which new features do you want the most?

Perhaps we could get a sub-forum for swap threads, so that more people are urged to start them, but so that they don’t clutter the general forum? (Perhaps we already have this. If we do, and someone would be so kind as to direct me, I would be very grateful)

I agree- one thread devoted to swapping would be nice, especially since you can reply to a specific post and it will be indented which will keep it from getting confused.

That makes even more sense than what I was thinking of. And since we already have a giveaway thread, why not an official, stickied swap thread?
But it does need to be pinned so that it stays at the top of the forums.

Maybe add “please use the search to look for information before starting a new thread” to be added as one of the guidelines? We’re all guilty of that one at one time or another:)

I really want to be able to post up pics of teas that i have tried from companies that are not in your data-base!! This is extremely frustrating for me.

Then enter them.

not sure if this has been said before. but what about random tea button.

Sometimes i do not know what i want.. i just want to try something different. Instead of picking a company or kind of tea. Just click the random button. It would be a good way to find some tea/companies that you would never have looked for.

http://steepster.com/discuss/223-need-help-picking-a-tea-introducing-the-tea-randomizer :) As for “not sure if this has been said before”, thankfully the search feature of the discussion boards now covers this thread. I did a search for “random” and was able to find the thread I posted.

Love the site. I would actually love to see the rating number increase/decrease as I slide the ratings slider. The smiley faces are nice but I have to wait for the page to reload to actually see what number my rating fell on.

Also any plans for an iPhone app?… maybe a built in steep timer, notes etc

I just discovered your website and I love it! I think it would be nice to have a section that allows members to review/rate different sugars, honeys, and other ingredients (types of cream or milk, etc.) that we enjoy with our tea.

I noticed when I am searching for teas and I go look at best teas, there are two main sort methods that are useful: Highest Rated and Most Popular. What would be great is if there is a way to sort by some cross-reference of Highest Rated and most popular. Basically a scoring method that is a function of rate and popularity.

Hi Jason,
Is there a way to add a SEARCH QUERY for Members LOCATION
To search by STATE, to see where other members are Located.
It would be helpful to see what other members live in our HOME STATE.

i agree with this. i live in new zealand and ive noticed that most steepster users are from the states. id like to be able to connect with members who are located closer to my hometown.

I’d like to be able to expand the ratings area. Just a quick list of usernames and ratings so I can see who’s thinking what about a tea. (http://steepster.com/teas/davidstea/14482-kyoto-cosmo Kyoto Cosmo is so low? Do the people who have rated it poorly not like citrus greens, or do they think this is just a bad example?)

We don’t know what feature it is better. We hope you can make a two parts, one is for the customers, the other is for tea shops. and the two part connect each other. Shops and customers can get benefits from it. The two parts can better realize and know each other. This is an assumption, and we don’t what the specific it is. Hope you can do it as an aim.
