Online Games and Tea

I didn’t see any chat for those who online game such World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, etc… I thought it would be neat to see if anyone would post on such a board so here’s a space for the online gamers and their tea. Guild Wars 2 world: Devona’s Rest I created a guild called: Tea Drinker’s Anonymous feel free to join :D

I’ve played World of Warcraft and quit once I got bored which took awhile. I’m enjoying Guild Wars and have pre-purchased Guild Wars 2. I usually drink rooibos type teas while gaming like Oh Canada by david’s tea since I like them hot and can still drink them cold.

I used to be a video gamer, but it’s an expensive hobby, so I’ve cut back. Now I stick the casual games. I’m currently addicted to Song Pop!, which is a music trivia game.

I’ll drink any teas while gaming, but I tend not to pick out really fancy teas, because I won’t be focused on the flavor as much.

I get easily absorbed into games… So I have vowed to stay away from MMOs… But I recently replayed Portal while sipping Adagios Birthday Cake tea… :) The cake was still a lie…

MMO’s can be highly addictive and time consuming if they are subscription based. I like guild wars because once you buy it, it’s free. It’s a lot of fun and there’s no pressure :D

Portal is a fantastic game. Portal 1 and Portal 2 are both fantastic.

Hai, my name is Missy and I’m addicted to Wow, D3 and tea. At least they work well with each other. ;)

Horde or Alliance in WoW and what race/gender/class? I liked being a Blood Elf shadow priest although I did play some worg characters when they came out.

I have both horde and ally toons. Tanaris is my horde server and it holds blood elf warlock and an undead rogue. On Eonar I have night elf death knight and hunter. I have various other toons but I haven’t put much effort into them. I do love the elves on both sides. :D

I played WoW for a week with the free pass. I adored it and hated it at the same time—I got tired while I was playing it, but I’d wake up with the overwhelming urge to play more more more! Online games and I don’t mix very well, I’m a bit of a solitary gamer. Mostly because I tend to get really addicted to games and that would end badly with MMOs, and second because I’m not a social gamer—I like to be off in my own little world doing my own little thing, not dealing with guys “whispering” obscene things to me because I’m playing as a dark elf female.

Also, when you play games alone you don’t have to worry about pausing for 10+ minutes while you prepare tea!

I really wish there was a non-multiplayer WoW. I don’t even know how many hours I logged playing DII… it’s scary to think about! Probably best that there’s no WoW for me haha. I mean I am STILL working through Skyrim even.

lol I hear you. I used to play a lot of D2 as well. I loved that game. How is Skyrim? I’m currently playing D3 right now and loving it.

I love Skyrim (though I think I’m one of the only people who liked Oblivion better)—if you like immersive open-world games you’ll probably enjoy it. Plus, the world is gorgeous!

Anyone who has played MMO’s knows this feeling well. Guild Wars 2 is supposed to be completely soloable if you want to. Although I do like being in a good guild if you can find one. WoW has a ton of immature people and was part of the reason I quit… plus I wanted a life :D

For those of you still playing MMO’s feel free to post your accomplishments here. Levels, titles, whatever. It’s always nice to see what gamers are up to :D

I think I may be one of a few that still plays WOW. Haven’t taken a break from it yet and am also palying D3 on the side. Other than that it’s mini games on my ipad to and from work. I’m a pretty avid board gamer as well so love playing things like ticket to ride/dominion/puerto rico on my phone/ipad as well :) Always time for tea with all of those things!

I’ve been on and off with my video game habits throughout my life. As a college student my studies are priority however that has not always been the case.

My game of choice is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and I play it on my PC (which I built for gaming). I often tell others I have an unhealthy addiction to Call of Duty. One night I was playing from roughly 7 PM to 5 AM. After reaching prestige twenty and logging over 500 hours of MW3 I have cut back significantly on the amount of time I spend playing that game. I’ve gotten double-digit MOABs (a 25 or 24 killstreak bomb the player gets to call in which kills the entire enemy team) which serves as my biggest bragging rights facet of that game. Some people are lucky to get one. I’ve gotten roughly seventeen of them.

You can check out my screen shots here:

When I get going with Call of Duty I’ve usually got a pot of tea right next to me to drink while playing. I really enjoy tea + CoD.

There you have it. That’s my online game of choice.
