diablo 3 ftw! tea + diablo 3 = perfection

Ditto! Love Diablo! Have you tried Davids Tea’s Mango Diablo? I need to try it while playing Diablo!

Same as others here, I used to play WoW and that was a really bad thing. It’s way too easy to get way too absorbed. It was getting so sucked into it that it scared me, so I stopped. Sometimes I still have the urge to play but the money keeps me from picking it back up; that money is better spent on tea!

These days I just stick to regular games, right now I’m into Rayman Origins and Tomb Raider Underworld. Easy to pick up and play for an hour and call it a day after that, plus I can play at my own pace.

As with others I tend to stay away from fancy teas because I’m so into the game that I’m not entirely focused on it. sometimes I’ll forget it’s even there.

I’ve played WoW on and off through the years. I’ll play for a bit, get bored, stay away for several months, play for a couple months, get bored… and so on.

I used to drink a lot of green tea when playing.

It’s easy to stay away if you don’t know anyone playing. It’s usually friends or people online you like that drag you back.

You know, when I was ten, during mid 90’s I used to fantasize about playing cool games that I’ve read of in gamer magazines those years. When internet became affordable for me in Bosnia I played some Diablo online, and when sequel came out I was hooked. I get those Diablo 2 urges, so I play like every other ladder season, even now.

Regarding newer online games, I see no thrill in those, no offense to anyone. I prefer to stick to older games with Hamachi and Gameranger for online play.

P.S.

My tea gets cold when playing games, so I don’t sip & play often.

I beat Diablo 2 hardcore on Hell difficulty. Then my gf installed a map hack (you could see the full map of the playing area rather than creating it yourself by exploring it) and got my account deleted!

I played WoW for quite awhile (my subscription is still active), mostly playing D3 right now. Such an amazing game :)

I’ve never played Diablo but many people have, it’s just not my type. I think I may have tried it once but didn’t like the controls or something.. I can’t remember…

I have to avoid this tread my addiction was so intense.
Recovering GW and WoW person here.

I’ll agree with recovering WoW addict. However… I’m still a fan of the GW and will probably be more thrilled with GW2 since it’s designed so people can have a life. Plus you don’t have any subscription fee. So if you have to be addicted go with something that has no Subscription fee so you have more money for tea! :D

So how is it designed so you can have a life? Please elaborate. Wait never mind don’t … I don’t want to know. LOL

No grind for starters, mobs drop what you need pretty much on the first try. It’s soloable so you don’t have to talk to people you don’t want to. Little things like that. The thing about WoW was that you had to have the gear, you had to raid or PvP (I’m not much of a PvPer.) and raids could take hours… and were annoying. Plus Subscription fees which are evil… yep I don’t miss WoW at all. :D Oh I forgot to add that now you can join multiple guilds with characters. You can only represent one guild at a time but you can change them at will in GW 2 :D

I was a BIG Time PVPr back before the honor points meant nothing anymore. That made me made as I worked so hard to get my status and gear then ANYONE could get it. LOL
Then I switched to raiding but it was too daunting as you said.
GW2 sounds great!

GW2 come out August 28th 2012 but you can look up what people have been saying about the beta tests. Here’s the link for GW2 faqs.

That is interesting about the raiding. Raiding is one of things I really enjoy. Mostly for the challenge. I can see how it could be totally annoying though. Now pvp could just fall off the face of the planet and I’d be happy.

I don’t like PvP much as it’s mostly higher lvls bullying the lower lvls. If it was fair though I would feel a bit better about it.. a bit. Raiding can be fun if you don’t have to stop every 5min because someone has to use the bathroom, make a phone call, etc… or someone doing something stupid so you all die constantly. Get a good raid group that knows what they are doing and it can be really fun. Still time consuming though.

Aye. Dylan and I raided with people we actually knew for the most part. There was very little of the silly stuff allowed. It’s easier to hold someone accountable if you know them, lol.

For those that don’t know Guild Wars the original only had 20 levels and it wasn’t the gear you needed it was the abilities you wanted to unlock. You could customize all your gear to look the way you wanted. You could customize your abilities (talents) as many times as you wanted without paying. Tired of being a fire elementalist (mage) switch to ice at the town before you adventure. The professions were like WoW’s class system but much more customizable. I have an Elementalist/monk (mage/priest) which I like :D

I play Angry Birds Chrome with my son. I also infrequently play Runescape.

I’ve heard of Runescape, took a quick tour of the website just now and it looks neat. I like the fact that you can stream the game instead of downloading. Although that means there is no eye candy ;) I’ve seen angry birds toys and stuff but it’s not for me. I’m glad you can play with your son as that’s a good way to spend more time together :D
