Yaay my character in GW2 is level 80 :D Kikyo Starsong is a level 80 elementalist :D Now I get to see what the high levels do (and then level another character )

I’ve been really wanting to try GW2! I’m a WoW player mostly but GW2 looks fun!

If you ever do decide to play GW2 come to the realm Devona’s Rest and I’ll invite you to my guild (where all the steepster people I can find are in) and then the larger guild I’m having fun with to do the big stuff with :D

I just got GW2!!! Installing it now:) I’d love to join your guild if the offer is still open:)

more than happy to have you in the guild I’ve been pretty sick so haven’t been on today :( send me your character name and display name (PM it if you want) and I’ll add you sometime today or tomorrow :D (also help you level)

I tried messaging you but if I remember correctly each of us have to be following the other in order to send messages. Anyway, I would absolutely love to join your guild if the offer is still open :)

offer is always open :D I haven’t been on in awhile due to school and stuff :D I’ll try to be on a bit more now that school is almost over.

Awesome! I’m Katalia Ouhd Tsaa on the Northern Shiverpeaks server if you could send an invite :)

I unfortunately cant afford online games, between monthly subscriptions, internet and computer maintenance/upgrades, I just don’t get enough time where I am sitting at home on the computer to make it worthwhile. Now what I DO play is Dungeons and Dragons and G.U.R.P.S.. My boyfriend and I’s first date was actually going to this comic book shop and playing DnD 4.0 [random note: I found out the girl running the sessions used to be a pornstar]. For the last 3 years my friends and I have gathered together once a week, invaded a nearby 24hour diner and capitalized on free coffee refills and occasionally endless pancakes for epic 3.5 sessions. We also occasionally get distracted by games of Magic The Gathering, Munchkin and heated comic book debate. I’ve come to enjoy these and boardgames much more than sitting online. It’s more personal and I enjoy getting out of the house and seeing my friends on my day’s off.

I just got on the computer after playing board games with the boyfriend for the last 3 or 4 hours. We played “Last Night On Earth” (cheesy zombie vs. townsfolk game inspired by old zombie flicks) and “Ticket to Ride: Europe.”

My most recent game craze is Twilight Empirium. Every time my boyfriend and I leave the game sessions at 4 and 5AM I tell him “WE ARE NEVER PLAYING THAT STUPID GAME EVER AGAIN!” and then the next time his friends suggest we play it I get all excited and say “HELL YEAH! I LOVE THAT GAME!” Definition of a love-hate relationship right there. :)

I’m a huge gamer but don’t get much time to play online. I have xbox 360 and ps3 which I may add are mine and not my husbands. If I have any time off I’m on a game. Currently playing my 4th run through of Skyrim (I like to complete it with each character type) which is on xbox and on my ps3 I am currently playing Dead Space 2.

Always happy for tea friends to add me on either console.

xbox – ch3rryprinc3ss
ps3 – faerie_queene

Invited. As a WoW addict, I rarely play console games, but I have so many that are still shrink-wrapped that I really must rectify that soon. =)

I don’t play any online games anymore; I briefly played SWTOR and only because of the amazing voice acting. My weaknesses are the Mass Effect and Elder Scrolls series.

The only thing I don’t like about WoW is that there is always soooo much to do that it’s pretty much a never-ending game. On one hand that’s not really a complaint, as I’m really getting my money’s worth. But on the other hand, I have literally stacks of shrink-wrapped games that I never get to play because I spend all my “spare” time in WoW. I so want to play the Mass Effect and Elder Scrolls series! One day…

Yeah for me it’s mostly that I like playing by myself and not co-op. PvP doesn’t interest me at all either. I like a more linear story which is why I love Mass Effect. But Skyrim (and Oblivion) are sandbox games — they never end either! Once you’ve done the main quest there are tons of sidequests to do and so on. And the modding community is INSANELY huge. You can mod the game to be anything you want it to be.

I enjoy co-op (I play either solo or with one friend), but also have zero interest in PvP. Like you, I prefer more linear stories, as well! I was thinking one way of getting around the temptation of modding would be to get the console version of the game. I have got to play something that actually finishes, gosh darnit! =)

hahaha I would definitely recommend Mass Effect then — I believe they JUST released the trilogy as a set so you could probably get it for a good deal. What I love about ME is that you play the first game and then import your save to the second — choices you make in ME will affect ME2. and then of course once you complete ME2, you import that savegame into ME3. choices you make in both ME and ME2 will ultimately affect the outcome of the final game. so it’s worth it to start alllllllllll the way at the beginning.
Also what I like about Mass Effect is the morals system — choices you make are either “good” (paragon) or “evil” (renegade). Those will also shape the game and the choices you have to make. It’s fun to play through the game choosing mostly one or the other and then playing through again as the other side. And sometimes an option you’d assume would be considered paragon actually turns out to be renegade and the whole thing turns on its head!

I think I have 1 and 2 (somewhere in the aforementioned shrink-wrapped stacks), but not yet 3. I’m trying not to buy more until I play what I have. =) I like that system, it sounds similar to Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, which I was really enjoying until I, er, got sucked back into WoW.

I’ve played all of the Bioware series and the mechanics are very similar. There’s Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (the new MMORPG is The Old Republic), Mass Effect, and Dragon Age. They all have romance storylines which is fun, the collecting is addicting, and the voice acting is some of the best I’ve ever heard. I’m a sucker for well-voiced cutscenes akfhaskdjfs.

Kingdoms of Amalur sounds really interesting. _

I love Bioware and Bethesda games! SW:TOR remains one of my all time favorites, and I also loved the first Dragon Age. It kept up me up way too late for far too many nights. I also spent about a bajillion hours in Morrowind and Skyrim (but I could not stand Oblivion).

I have never been that big on multiplayer either. But when Skyrim came out I probably put 300 hours on the game in about 2 months. Best 2 months ever.

What do you think about the new TES: MMO coming out though?

Valerie said

I’m excited for the TES:MMO but not sure if it’ll live up to the hype. Part of why I love TES so much is the huge modding community, and obviously that won’t be the same for an MMO — too much risk of cheating/overpowering.

I played FF XI and XIV for a brief time, and got highly addicted to both games… after that I learned that me and mmorpgs don’t mix. I now have a little Mario addiction going on, which started when I purchased a Wii U… the Miiverse is fun!

FFXIV was nice but I could only play it on the desktop which was a pain. Is it just me or does the Wii U remind anyone else of a PSP? or even the newer PSvita?

Somewhat online, but anyone playing Pokemon White / Black 2?

I’m so addicted, I was into pokemon back to pokemon yellow – but White 2 is pretty solid (especially compared to black 1, which I had before this one) and the difficulty is perfect. I’m having too much fun with the Dream world stuff online.

I’ve been kicking back, sipping tea while I play!

My brother had white I think. I am thinking about playing them, since I hear they are better. I have loved pokemon since for ever but my first game was Emerald, which is still my fav for lots of reason; but mainly for the Battle Frontier.

and here I am remembering pokemon red, blue and yellow :D I remember playing those on my gameboy colour :D

I play a bit of World of Warcraft. Started playing after Perfect World International (the free WoW-style MMORPG stopped wanting to work on my laptop, and also as a way to “hang out” with a friend of mine while she’s away at school. I enjoy it, I’m not very good so tend to play by myself. My main characters are an Undead Hunter, a Tauren Druid (my first character, I wanted a druid JUST so I could run around in bear-form, haha), and a Pandaren Hunter (who’s sided with the Horde). Any Steepster WoW players on Gurubashi server?

i used to be BIG into diablo, but strictly solo.

i was huge into minecraft for awhile, but had to set it aside to actually do important things IRL.

i started playing glitch about 2 months before they pulled the plug (so many tears)

was thinking about getting back into minecraft. i got a bit bored with it, but only ever played alone. i think playing with others might make it interesting again, but i’m an introvert. playing any sort of game like that with strangers is fairly terrifying. i’m never any good and always feel like i’m the weakest link, etc.

there was another game that i played a lot a few years ago. kiiind of like WoW. dang, i forget the name! i actually found some really fun people to play with, but then couldn’t afford the monthly fee… i really like D&D style games.

to tie this back into tea, i never drink tea while playing games. i get totally absorbed into the game and forget about my tea!
