Anyone having these problems again? I’ve had a bunch of replies here on the forum and seen others start them and nothing new has shown up for 3 hours anywhere :[
Looks like the dashboard is stuck again. I posted a tasting note about an hour ago and it’s still not showing up.
you know what that means! tomorrow morning there will be a mile long list of reviews to go through. ah!!
yeah, I’ve discovered the explore button as well. Also, when the dashboard is stuck I find myself lurking on the discussion boards. :D
Are anyone else’s notices not working. I haven’t been able to access mine all day (June 19/13). It updates the number of new notices, but it just keeps “thinking” whenever I click on the notices tab and never actually takes me there.
Hmm, it appears to not be working again. I’m not getting any notices of notices, and it’s not loading any new tasting notes, including the two I wrote this morning. :(
Same here. The posts on my dashboard are not updating nor am I receiving any notices.
This goes for anyone, but if you notice the dashboard is frozen, send an email to Jason jason[at]steepster.com and he will jump start it.
Okay cool, thanks! I didn’t know how to contact him or if I should. It appears to be fixed now. :)
My dashboard stopped updating 3 hours ago and nothing shows up under activity either. Anybody else with this problem?
My dashboard is frozen too. I can see new tasting notes if I click on explore and then browse, but these are not showing on my dashboard and I haven’t had any new notices in hours.
Yep, my dashboard isn’t updating. Latest updates were about 4 hours ago. Waiting it out always seems to do the trick; wonder what causes it to hiccup like this every so often? (ie, what triggers this bug to happen)
I’ll say it again since it’s been a while since this happened and there are new people around: if you notice that the dashboard is frozen, you can email Jason (jasonATsteepster.com) to report it, or post a problem report to Steepster’s feedback site (http://getsatisfaction.com/steepster); note that you will need a getsatisfaction account to do the latter (but you can log in with facebook/google/etc). The sooner someone reports it, the sooner it gets fixed!
It freezes sometimes because of something to do with the hosting server. One of the site admins has to manually restart the feed. I’ve reported it so hopefully it will be back up and running soon.
Oh, I’m glad there’s a thread on this topic-I thought it was only happening to me.
