Personal Tea Journals

Hello all! I was going to sit down to add some art to my personal tea journal. Does anyone else keep a written/electronic journal of the teas they have and any artistic muses that have to do with tea?

I don’t have any artistic muses, but I do have a journal. It’s called steepster:)

I am terrible at keeping a blog, and I always feel bad when I join a site that has a blogging function (I try to use them for specific functions; when I still used IMVU, I used its blog for dreams, and my Gaia journal [when I still logged onto the site] was used for the occasional prose, and to store and organize art gifts from friends).

Steepster is only different because it is hardly a blog—to me—it’s much more of a log, and a very purposeful one at that. And I drink tea enough to actually have something to type about.

I actually think it would be nice if Steepster had an option for making a blogpost that wasn’t linked to a specific cuppa, so that if I wanted to natter about tea, generally, I could do that.

I’m new to the site and am still exploring it. A general blogpost is a great idea! Tasting notes are great, but I would enjoy hearing people’s general thoughts about tea.

well i keep all my chattering about tea on blogspot which if it’s about a specific tea i post here in steepster, i should check if it’s already been suggested to have something where i can post to steepster and blogger at the same time.

That would be a really good crossover thing. I’m not so fond of dealing with multiple sites, so I’d love to see the option here for folks to have more general tea-centered entries.

A site doesn’t need to offer everything.

there are plenty of sites – postling for example-that allow you if you want, to mesh sites together for easier viewing (facebook+twitter for example) and that was more what i was thinking of, integration for those of us who will use it – your right each site doesn’t need to have everything but more the reason to be able to mesh them together to get a full gammut of services

I meant to keep a log of the teas I drank, but I never got around to it – too unorganized and unmotivated. That’s why I was really interested when an employee at a tea shop told me about this.

As for my artistic expressions, they come in form of poetry and prose, so I do post them, just on literary sites. If there were a “tea art” submission feature on here, that would be cool, but i honestly haven’t written enough of it to push for it.

Hahah, “Tea Art” would be a neat section. I certainly draw enough; I could pump out a tea-themed drawing every once in a while. I’ve actually been meaning to draw a Pertwee and Tea related piece I had in mind. Hmm.
