Is buying small quantities a "faux pas"?

Minimum purchases are the way to go when you’re exploring your tastes. Actually, if you think about it, it’s a smarter business practice because by allowing customers to purchase small amounts, they’d probably end up trying more, and thus, come back and give you more business.

And I totally didn’t know that DT allowed under 50g. When the first shop in Edmonton opened up, the employees there told me that I had to purchase at least 50g.
