It Started with the Yixing Sale Updated:7/31/12

I know right! It’s beautiful. Everytime I see it I think autumn. I just start to romanticize about the cool weather, pumpkin pies, and a warm cup of tea. Such presentation that one has. I hope it’s there when it is pay day. I’d hate for you to miss out. The quantitiy is so low. No pressure, I just don’t want you to miss it, especially if your heart is set on it. :)

Me too – although payday is only a couple of days away (unless they change it on me which they often do – hard to explain but they can do it and we have to deal with it) anyway yes Autumn is my FAVORITE season and I am longing for it – this pot is perfect for me!
I figure if it is meant to be it will work out :)

I hope it does. :-) Crazy about the pay day thing though. I’m not sure I could handle that sort of uncertainty.

We all struggle with it. Its not my ONLY pay but my MAIN source of income. We are private contractors via this web site and they retain the “right” to change paydays on us literally last minute which happens about 60% of the time! It is only a day to three day change in time but for some people it can be the difference between having lights on or not!
The whole blurbage is in the TERMS OF SERVICE so we choose to deal with it or not so they can do what they want and if we want to use their platform we choose to deal with it lol.
This is an early payday this month so if they actually pay on the 2nd as they say thus far it is nice.
Everything happens for a reason though so if this pot is meant to be at home with me then I will get to it before they are gone :)

First, that is absolutely terrible and clearly there isn’t anything you can do unless you discount service with them. Second, I do hope fate smiles upon you and this teapot. I am cheering for you. :D

Btw, what did you think of the tumbler? I think it is just brilliant. The idea of driving in your car with a properly steeped cup of tea in a Yixing container sounds so attractive. It’s like I don’t have to give up my quality for convenience. Just a tremendous innovation. Love to hear what you think.

Honestly I saw the tea pot and didn’t even look at the other items LOL I will go check them out :)

I have a lot of thoughts on this.
For one I have never seen anything like it before so that is awesome!
Second a concern – the brew basket looks small but then things often LOOK different online than they really are in person.
The size is a little on the small side.
Love that the strainer has a handle on it!
Nice that there is no plastic involved but thought I read something somewhere about teflon not being “healthy” as well – then again I could be wrong on that and don’t want to incite worry, I mean what IS really “safe” these days anyway? LOL
I would totally get one of these for oolong! For me, pu-erh is more for at home relaxing and not on the go but Oolong I love to take with me everywhere so this for me would be awesome to have if I had the funds right now for something new and different.
Just personally with the love and desire for the pumpkin pot and limited spending funds I would have to pass BUT … IF there are any around maybe later in the month, or next month, or if I have a windfall of cash lol I would totally get one!
Unique and I mean come on its a YIXING tumbler!

Great find!

The strainer is small but it sits lower in the tumbler so that additional leaves can be added above the strainer, if that makes sense. Of course if you wanted to could out the leaves in first them put the strainer in. Once steeped strain into another vessel. Remove leaves from tumbler and then pour the tea back in. Though I don’t think you’ll need to do that. As for Teflon I do believe that is more related to cookware. As for the overall size it is about the size of an average tumbler. I am glad it doesn’t hold more that 8 oz since normally anything using Yixing usually means more leaf and shorter steep times, any bigger and I couldn’t fit the leaves. LOL :)
Yes, very unique and exciting. I am glad you found it interesting. I also understand your desires for the pumpkin Yixing pot. I almost wanted to keep it all to myself. Just ask the hubby. ;)
