Peach HoppiTea (Hops + Peach + Guranse = Awesome)

About 2 months ago I started working with a customer to create this custom blend. The goal was to create a tea that tasted like peach beer. We ended up with a small batch of this tea. I have a very small amount left and was wondering if anyone would be interested in purchasing an ounce. Unfortunately, the price is high because I had to purchase small amounts of a few ingredients that we didn’t have in stock. The price would be $7.99 an ounce plus shipping. The tea does very much taste like a peach beer, an IPA. We used Cascade hops, peach bits, peach flavoring and a black Guranse base. The hops is very noticeable which is a little sour in a beer-like way but is pleasant and the tea is also fruity with peach hints and some sweetness. The peach becomes pronounced with just a little sugar and also the bubbliness of the tea comes out with a little sugar. The bubbliness is similar to our Tamarind Pop tea when sugar is added.

I also wanted to gauge if this is tea that would generally interest customers as I am not at all sure.

OMG!!!!!!! Awesome! Sounds VERY COOL!

Along these lines…I would be interested in a Pear Cider – which would be like a Malt Beverage as well – what do you think????

That is IF you are interested in adding more of these type flavors to your ever growing inventory :)

I think its pretty unique.

Pear Cider sounds very interesting. I will definitely take that into consideration if others are interested.

Sent you an email. Peach beer tea sounds interesting since I like flavoured IPAs but beer does not agree with me. And I figure if I get lucky with this baby making scheme, caffeine would be the lesser of evils. LOL. (Hoping no one is offended by last comment).

LOL not at all here .. good luck with your “scheme” haha

Hahaha. Not offended either, it takes a lot to offend me. Got your email.

Yummy! Another “I want to try it” added to the list.

Not sure yet if we are going to make this into a regular tea. I guess it depends if there is enough interest.

I can’t drink beer anymore either (due to gluten sensitivity), but this sounds like a beer I would’ve loved back when I did drink it. So, I would be interested in buying an ounce of such a unique blend at that price, provided it does not have any wheat or malt-based ingredients in the blend. Hops are fine.

There are some great gluten-free beers out there now. Have you tried any lately? I really like Green’s Dubble Dark Ale. Yums! Peach HoppiTea is gluten-free. All of our flavorings are gluten-free and the peach bits are gluten-free. Other than that there is only raw hops and Guranse tea.

Thanks! It sounded like it was, just wanted to make sure. I’ve tried a few GF beers, but somehow not Green’s yet. Didn’t know they made a GF beer that dark! I do like Dogfish’s GF strawberry beer (made with sorghum). Can’t remember the name right now, but it’s a good seasonal.

I would definitely be interested, although I’m out of town for a couple weeks

Thanks for your interest. This might be something we make more of if we see enough interest.

Let me use this cat picture to explain my interest in this tea: http://imgur.com/gallery/5Fjfx

LOL! Yep… that’s pretty much the way I reacted to it too. I reacted that way with the introduction of the tamarind pop too.

Hahaha. That is too funny.

That cat picture totally made my day! My kitten always thinks that she needs my tea but I can never get a picture of her in the act.

I’d be interested in trying this.

Thanks for your interest. This might be something we make a larger batch of.

I’d be interested in this as well, however I’d be more likely to drink it in the summer. I’m a Midwesterner who likes to eat/drink certain things in their specific season – but I’m probably weird like that. :)
