Verdant Tea Looking for Feedback and Guidance. Take our Survey, Get a Coupon.

If anyone still has their coupon code for $10 off until Aug 31st, hold on to them until Friday. At 12 noon CST we are releasing two new teas: A summer harvest Tieguanyin and a new downy Zhu Rong Yunnan Black. The Summer Tieguanyin is incredibly rich, a real texture experience. It taste like summer! The Zhu Rong is like a combination of the best of the old Zhu Rong and the Golden Fleece. Very wonderful!

I posted a few pictures on our Facebook album for a sneak peak.

Awesome! I still have mine – hope to be able to use it on these!

Definitely! Our friends in China could only part with 10 pounds of the new Zhu Rong and 12 pounds of the Summer Harvest Tieguanyin, so I expect these to be pretty limited run teas. Use that coupon and stock up while they are around.

I am going to try to go visit the farm in Anxi that grows our Tieguanyin and see if they will be willing to part with more in the future. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything lines up for a trip to China soon!

And did I mention that a new harvest of Laoshan black came too? Everyone is in for a real treat with that one. “The creamy melted butter caramel sweetness, chocolate fudge and fresh baked bread undertones make this our most popular tea”

I took the survey the week before last. I have not tried your teas either; I have tried the New Mexico Tea Company and for some reason I think of your teas and theirs as similarly even; but unsure as to why I think this.

I am weirdly. Time are tough for me and tea buying and other things must be on hold. Happy teas, and thanks for opportunity to express freely.

Thanks for taking the survey and giving us your feedback. We have so many great things planned because of the suggestions in the surveys.

If anyone wants my survey code, I still have it available for you. Send me a message!

Reminder: $10 coupon code expires on Aug 3st (Friday midnight CST)
This is a great week to use the coupon code since we have the three new teas I mentioned above, plus:

Sample Sizes on every tea now available! Affordable 7g samples so that you can try whatever you want without breaking the bank.

In addition, we have low stock warning on Golden Fleece (Yikes!), Huang Zhi Xiang Dancong, Xingyang Nuggets, Jingshan Green, and Spring Laoshan Green. That’s a lot of teas getting discontinued! Small harvests and large interest means they go fast. Less then a pound on many of them, so this would be a good time to grab a few ounces before they are gone for good.

Many Thanks for your help! I will be updating this topic with some of the most interesting survey results, and a few of our plans taken in response to the survey.
All the best,
David

So out of curiosity if we missed out on them now when would we expect to see them back?

Well, the part beauty of these small harvests is how fleeting they are. It is a tribute to the seasonality of tea, and the effect of weather and land on the flavors. In reality, none of these teas will be back in the same exact form.

Here are my current plans for the teas mentioned above:
Golden Fleece: This crop is out when it is out. I will likely work to get something in its league back by mid to late October, but the flavors will be slightly different. This harvest is already the second edition we have found. I am sure that the third will be excellent though.

Huang Zhi Xiang: There are currently no plans to restock the Huang Zhi Xiang.

Xingyang Nuggets: No plans to restock. We are scouting for a new looseleaf shu this month with a different set of flavor profiles.

Jingshan Green: Nothing until spring. Probably mid May to June.

Spring Laoshan Green: Same situation. When this is out we will be selling just summer harvest, then summer and autumn harvests.

Hope that helps! Don’t worry though, we are always finding incredible new teas as the old move out. I try to keep things dynamic and make sure that there is always room for customers to branch out and explore / taste / learn new things. Of course, any suggestions are always welcome for new sourcing projects. Our survey results indicated a strong desire for more oolongs and black teas.
