2nd Annual Los Angeles Tea Festival: October 27th & 28th

Hey guys, the festival is going to be Oct 27th and 28th this year. If you’ve never been to an event like this, prepare to have your mind blown. I volunteered last year, and would describe it as “Woodstock for tea lovers.” Here’s the press release:

For Immediate Release: July 2012
Los Angeles, California

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL TEA FESTIVAL OFFERS YOU A
PASSPORT INTO THE WORLD OF TEA

The world of tea is coming once again to the Japanese American
National Museum the weekend of October 27th & 28th, 2012. Reena
Shah & Tek Mehreteab, the driving forces of the Los Angeles
International Tea Festival, were so pleased with the attendance from
last year’s Festival that they felt motivated to have an even larger
Festival this year.

Tea lovers will discover new worlds of tea and accessories as they
explore focused tastings of classic teas from diverse origins, meet
authors and locally-based tea celebrities and drink oceans of
extraordinary tea inside the Museum. Southern California tea
companies will exhibit and featured guest James Norwood Pratt,
internationally known author, historian and story-teller, will offer
inspiring classes and sign copies of his books.

The Festival will be open 11:00 am – 5:00 pm daily Saturday October
27 and Sunday October 28, inside the Japanese American National
Museum located at 369 East First Street in downtown Los Angeles,
California. See all the details online at www.teafestivalla.com or at
