Irish cream is in there twice – someone voted once on one and we have 8 votes on the other. Can they be merged?

Oh no! I did not notice that. Unfortunately, I as administrator, can only set it up, but can not adjust the vote count. I guess the programmers did not trust me wit such great responsibility :-)

Is it bad that i want COFFEE to win just so that it will have to be added to the storefront for purchase? lol

I’m not sure how it works but some nights I dream new ideas and usually they are the best ones I have (some are not so great, just seemed great at the time). Anyone else like that or am I the only one going crazy here?

Anyway I have notice that our Caramel Matcha is number 1 tea here (92 points, 26 ratings) on Steepster (thank you all), but it looks very lonely at the top. Sure there are many Verdant teas up there (they offer such great tea, it makes me jealous), so I figured that Cheesecake Matcha is not far behind (90 points, 14 ratings). I want to make my Cheesecake Matcha #2 best rated tea here and it looks like it’s missing a few great reviews. I’m thinking of a new promo to fix it, but I wanted to know if you knew, if the same person can review same tea twice and the new rating would count as well towards the total number?
I’m thinking of a special sale for the Cheesecake Matcha lovers want to help me get it to the top. Kind of like a follow up review. Similar to rating a tool that you had a chance to use for a while now and also had a chance to compare with other flavors now.
It would be a special sale (50%off, just to cover my cost) for Steepster reviewers only, not open to the public.
I know that many of you loved this flavor, so I’m hoping that you would want take your time and help me get it to the top. By my calculation, it would take about 12-16 votes with score 92 and up (based on Caramel Matcha reviews)
What do you think?

It is on my list to try. Only just got home Friday to find my order of the Caramel Matcha had arrived. Haven’t been feeling well enough to make it…yet.

Cedes said 2012-09-23 11:18:45 -0400

I think its a great idea. I would definitely purchase some more to do a review.

Small
Sil said 2012-09-23 11:50:15 -0400

I love this idea! As long as you don’t do it the first week of October lol in terms of reviewing the tea"again" my understanding is that they can adjust their rating up (or down) and that becomes their rating for the tea. So it’s not so much that they’re putting in another rating….thry’re changing their rating in the system.

But don’t quote me on that…I just think that’s how it works so that, for example, I could input a rating and do it 2000 times to get a particular tea up to a 100 rating.

I’d be willing to review too – haven’t tried that one yet.

I just placed my order, and cheesecake was in it!! DOES THE HAPPY SPASTIC DANCE

devvyleys said 2012-09-23 18:32:34 -0400

I’d love to do this, though mine would be a first-time review for the cheesecake. It’s definitely on my list of matchas to try!

Small
softrevolution said 2012-09-23 21:36:55 -0400

Cheesecake is my favourite matcha flavour so far and I’d love to: a) help it get to the top; and b) buy some more cheesecake matcha.

Small
Jessie said 2012-09-23 23:27:14 -0400

I’ve been thinking about ordering the cheesecake, and a sale would definitely help with that! I’d be reviewing for the first time so it would help the cause. :)

Small
devvyleys said 2012-09-24 06:42:27 -0400

I’m a bit confused I think. This sale has yet to happen, right? There’ll be a code or something available?

Small
Red Leaf Tea said 2012-09-24 08:17:36 -0400

I’m trying to make it work and it’s in the process stage now. I’m waiting for Steepster to reply to my email so that I have a better understanding on how it works. Once I have that I will post updated info :-)

Small
ashmanra said 2012-09-25 16:19:34 -0400

I have never had the cheesecake matcha, and I will definitely buy it if it goes on sale! And review it, too, of course!

Red Leaf Tea said 2012-09-23 11:49:37 -0400

Also, I have been asked to offer more variety sets at lower price. I’m working of making sets of a few flavors, with about 15-20g size instead of standard 30g, but I also wanted to see if there would be any takers for this kind of sampler set.
This product is limited to only 10 sets (trial run) and only available to my Steepster followers :-)
It is not offered to the public and can only be accessed by this special link:

Let me know what you think?

While I’d love to do this, I think I’d be hesitant because of the cost. I don’t think you’re charging too much though, so don’t take it that way. I think it’s a reasonable price :) I just have a hard time dropping that all at once. I LOVE the idea of getting to try the one flavour in all of the different bases – especially if it’s a flavour I love. I hope others pipe up though because I may be in the minority :) I’d be more likely to try it if it was say 3 bases (ie let me pick which ones) in case I come to realize that I HATE a certain base. That being said, I understand not wanting to do sometig like that as well because of the extra effort/time etc.

Small
Indigobloom said 2012-09-23 12:13:52 -0400

Ohhhh man I wish I could afford this! but I can’t justify that and the cheesecake all at once :(
If I was working, you can be sure I’d snap one of these sets up in a second!!

Small
Nik said 2012-09-23 12:23:18 -0400

I love this idea, but also can’t justify spending that much all at once on a few varieties of one thing.

Small
Mercuryhime said 2012-09-23 12:27:28 -0400

I agree that it’s a bit pricy. Maybe do the different bases, but offer one level of flavoring for all of them.

Small
Red Leaf Tea said 2012-09-23 13:14:07 -0400

It is one level of flavoring: Robust and different bases…

Small
Mercuryhime said 2012-09-23 13:22:27 -0400

ooh, sorry. I guess I misread it. :)

Maybe you can just offer 4 different bases then. You might be able to skip the 50/50 since whoever gets the set will have the green and white base and can do their own mix. After that, go with the most popular 4 bases. Maybe offer an incentive to try and review the puerh and oolong matcha because, frankly, they intimidate me a little. What kind of oolong are you using anyways? There are so many kinds. I am likewise curious about the white tea base.

Small
Mercuryhime said 2012-09-23 13:26:43 -0400

Or one set with popular bases and another set with “adventurous” bases!

Also, I’d like to say that I’m really grateful for your generous matcha promotion and I’m not trying to sound like I’m demanding even MORE incentives, but just pointing out that with the wide range of delicious safe flavors your offer, few people will want to try the scarier (at least to me) oolong and puerh matcha, even though they may actually be awesome.

Small
teabird said 2012-09-23 14:02:18 -0400

I would almost certainly go for this! As soon I get the reviews for my latest order in to offset part of the cost

Small
Helena said 2012-09-25 15:33:03 -0400

oolong and puerh make me nervous too so your not alone Mercuryhime!

Buy one and do a 200 word review for credit?

Small

yes, write a review for 200+ words and get credit towards your next matcha purchase.

I have just posted my matcha teas for sale at Amazon United Kingdom. The products were transferred without any problems but the reviews did not.
To start the sales on this market I need reviews!!! I would like to ask people that have already posted reviews on Amazon USA to post them on Amazon UK as well if possible. I have 2 ideas for a reward:
1. Offer small reward for each review posted there. The more reviews you post the bigger reward.
2. Offer one big reward and pick one person at random.
Any takes? Who would like to participate?
Which reward would be preferable?
Let me know, please….

Small
Cedes said 2012-09-25 14:22:17 -0400

I don’t mind posting my reviews on there to help you out. So just went to post my reviews on the UK one, and its showing the reviews from the states one. Do you still want us to repost on the UK site?

Small
Babble said 2012-09-25 15:19:11 -0400

I would be happy to post as well. I vote for the small review for each review posted there, so everyone can share in it. This would be in addition to the review we post on Amazon US, right?

Small
Helena said 2012-09-25 15:34:47 -0400

I’ll post on both Amazon’s later today to help :D I don’t know if Amazon Canada has it, if it does I’ll write a review there as well :D

Small
Sil said 2012-09-25 15:49:20 -0400

I’m 98% certain that all of the amazon sites link to reviews posted on other sites. I can view the reviews that are posted on amazon.ca that ppl have written on amazon.com and amazon UK. So before you open this up to everyone, I would check to make sure you actually want reviews on the site specific to the UK.

If you do, then I would be happy with a small reward for helping you out. That way everyone gets comething for helping out rather than just one person.

(the reviews from amazon.com are waaaaay at the bottom though – i can see all of mine)

Small
ashmanra said 2012-09-25 16:42:26 -0400

I just checked and my reviews were not on there, so I have already posted two on the UK site and will post the remaining two as well.

Small
Red Leaf Tea said 2012-09-25 18:16:24 -0400

Thank you for your help.
The reviews may transfer between Amazon Canada and Amazon USA (isn’t it the same one?) but the others do not :-(

My review transferred or rather was visible from .com at .uk. I triple checked. So it’s just weird. Regardless I’ll put up reviews in both places going forward to help.

Edit: Finished adding mine for you as well

I was able to post three reviews on the UK site, but Black Cherry isn’t up yet. I will add that one when it becomes available. I had no trouble signing in with my regular amazon.com account, and indeed, my reviews from the US site were not showing up.

Are they still doing the 400 word promotion? I don’t see it on the site.

200 only – too popular so they had to cut back
