Are you planning to open in Halifax? I should come down and visit you at the Market this weekend…

We are hoping to open this summer, but finding that perfect location seems a bit problematic in Halifax. We’d love to see you at the market. Just a ferry ride away for you Haligonians :-)

A small, but nice selection of reasonably-priced greens and oolongs. The price for the matcha is rather cheap, though.

One minor quibble: the brewing temperatures on the website are in degrees Fahrenheit rather than Celsius. You are a Canadian company, right??

Best wishes,
Sherubtse

The actual brewing parameters for the individual teas are in Celsius. The source from the table requested I not change it when I posted it to me site… I think I’ll make my own table in Celsius, it’s a very good point. Thank you.

Interesting tea room in Vancouver; it appears that they ship to Canada and USA.

Ugh, they consider Pu Erh a black tea…

That sounds as blasphemous as drinking bagged tea – off with their heads! ;P

Not blasphemous, just ignorant. Off with their heads comment still applies though ;P

Some Calgary & Area tea houses/merchants for any of you prairie-dwellers:

Tea Trader: http://www.teatrader.com/

Elixir Fine Tea: http://www.elixirfinetea.com/

Oolong Tea House: http://oolonghouse.com/catalog/

The Naked Leaf: http://thenakedleaf.ca/

Steeps: http://www.steepstea.com/catalog/

Tea Desire also has a couple shops set up in Calgary, but I believe that they ship out of Sicamous.

All of these companies should ship within Canada. :)

No worries! If you’re in the area, you should check them out; they all love chatting about tea, especially Andrew @ Elixir :)

A great selection of tea shops “out west”. I especially like the stuff at The Naked Leaf.

Best wishes,

Just discovered Shanti Tea, which looks to be Canadian, with a strong emphasis on Fair Trade, Organic, and Biodynamic teas. Free samples for new customers, too http://www.shantitea.ca/Free-Stuff—18.html

Just found a place called Superior Tea based in Edmonton. Their website is http://www.superiortea.net/. They started just last year which might explain their hard to navigate website, but the prices and selections look very good. I’m really curious to try out some of their teas.
