Matcha Help
So I have started drinking matcha. Now to make it I’ve been using a regular whisk. I read someone where that if you don’t use a matcha whisk it changes the taste of the matcha. Is this true? Does everyone who drinks matcha use a matcha whisk?

I use whatever I have handy lol. I’ve whisked with a fork, a whisk and my blender :) I have yet to purchase a “proper” whisk :)
Oh I’ve never heard that before, I use anything I can find to whisk (and have used a chasen to whisk and don’t taste any difference)
Okay thanks.When I read that I was like that doesn’t make much sense, but I’m new at this so I thought id ask.
The only thing I can think of is that there might be some metallic taste from the metal whisks versus the bamboo. I really don’t know and I haven’t heard this before. I will say that I get more froth when I use the bamboo versus any other method. Does the added froth change the flavor? Perhaps, I find that the first few sips are lighter and the most enjoyable, but, that does not mean that the later sips after the froth starts to disappear are not enjoyable.
I really don’t think it makes that big of a difference, but, I do find that I whisk better with a chasen than with anything else.
