Oh okay, I’ve had 4 other orders and its never said delivered before. But that makes me feel a bit better thanks :) I guess ill just have to wait and see.

Rachel I’m sure your package will come. I’ve had bad experiences with Canadian shipping. The boarder is such a hassle, I’ve had things taken out of my packages from friends a few times. So when something goes wrong I start to panic.

Er, I meant wondering where your package was. Of course, as a tea lover I’m always waiting on some sort of package to come, but they usually arrive as promised.

I did just send my first package to Canada, though, so I hope it makes it :)

First of all it’s us that shipped this package. We have never had problems with USPS before and last week, they have lost 4 of them.
1. One for Canada that was supposedly delivered somewhere in USA
2. Got a message that it was refused by the customer. Not true since I have called the client to check personally.
3. One package showed “Delivered” to a client from Amazon, which she never got. We have sent another one for which she had to personally sign to receive it. She never got a notice that they tried to deliver it, but when I tracked it on their site, it showed that customer was not home and she needs to pick it up from Post Office near her. She went there only to find out that “I’m sorry, but we can not find it”, like it’s perfectly fine that they lost (read: stole) 2 orders. I have called general number at Post Office and of course I can make a claim, but since the package was not insured I can not get any kind of compensation for the lost product. Not only that, they also do not return the postage fee for the package they admit they lost!!!! I have basically paid them to steal from my store!!!!
Can you imagine how angry I was?!
I’m not surprised now that people go crazy and start shooting post office workers….

Actually “going postal” refers to the post office staff losing it and opening fire, not other people coming in to harm the post office staff. =)

I’m sorry you had that experience, though. I’ve had no trouble with USPS, but most vendors I know prefer to use UPS.

I wonder whats happening with the postal service! I’m sorry if my posting this made you upset. I just wasn’t sure about US postal service.

I can totally understand why you’d be upset, that’s crazy how can packages just go missing and it be their fault and them not do anything! Well I hope that it all goes back to normal.

Cedes, in the States, there is basically no guarantee with regular post via the USPS. If you want a guarantee, you have to pay more for options like tracking, insurance, delivery confirmation, etc., or use a different service like UPS or FedEx.

Wow really…. I guess you can tell I know absolutely nothing about the postal service. That’s just crazy! That packages just go missing and they do nothing….

Oh no!!!! I hope you’re not upset with us trying to help. We knew that whomever the seller was that they’d try to fix it.

What a pain about the post! Sounds like if 4 packages had issues I’d look locally. Seems like there wouldn’t be a problem with four if it wasn’t someone in the beginning who had all of them.

Oh, I’m upset but not with you, but with USPS!!!! Not only they cost me money when they lost my product, but also caused my clients to wait extra time for the package. I was told to try and give it a bit more time, so if you don’t get your packages by the end on this week, please contact me again and I will ship you a new ones.
Once again, my apologies for the delay :-(

USPS regular mail has tracking number starting with LC, unlike the tracking numbers within US which are composed of numbers. So maybe you have been given a wrong number?

USPS regular mail has little to none tracking for international mail. Usually the status will not changed to delivered long after you have received the mail, and sometimes it never changes. But generally speaking I have little problem with USPS and just wish some vendors I buy from give up their UPS and FedEx.

Yes, LC tracking numbers are for international mail (when printed in USA) and “all numbers” are for domestic. If you use postage printing software, adding tracking option to your mail is usually free.
My problem with UPS and FedEx is that we do not have that many order coming out and the rates I got start about $10 per order, where USPS First Class starts about $3. We do not make money on shipping, but the advantage is that our customers have more money to spend on product rather than shipping.
USPS of course recommends insurance in case a package goes missing. It’s about $1 per order, but to us it’s a bit much, especially that it all adds up at the end of the month and I don’t think customers would be willing to pay this extra them selves either.
