How many different teas do you have?

You’ll inevitably end up with hundreds just by being on Steepster so don’t worry about it hahaha. I don’t really drink different things depending on the time unless it’s night, when I try to make sure it’s something caffeine free.

I find it all depends on my mood and how the day is going rather than guidelines for certain teas for different times of day. Though I do tend to reach for a nice strong black tea or mate in the morning as I usually need something with caffeine to get me going (honestly I think it’s more of a mental thing than anything).

I’m pretty new to tea and have about ten right now.
Like the others, I mostly just drink by what I’m in the mood for, though I generally reach for caffeine in the morning and herbal or low-caffeine at night :P

According to my cupboard, just over 200 ^^; However, I generally only add something when I have an ounce or more of it, so counting samples closer to 300! What can I say, I love swaps and mystery boxes are my weakness. I do drink 3-6 different kinds a day plus the bf goes through 1-2 plus a big pitcher of iced every 2 days SO I have faith that I’ll get through it all.

I’d say about 50 right now.

90% of the time I drink a black tea in the morning, but sometimes a darker oolong. Then I usually move towards a green or oolong during the day. Pu-erh or herbal at night

I just updated my cupboard and according to it 80. Although I’ve got 5 orders from companies on their way and I am waiting on several swaps to arrive, plus I’ve got to finish purchasing ky fall/ winter collection. Plus some samples that are floating around the house.

I only really started purchasing tea since about May, when I joined the community.

I prefer blacks for in the am and herbals or low caffeine teas in the evening.(I am SUPER sensitive to caffeine). My cupboard is seperated into spring/summer teas and fall/winter ones. Although I have many I will drink both hot and iced, but some I feel should only be brewed up one way or theother.

I love chais, so I like to have a large variety of them on hand.

There are so many flavours out there that you are about to discover, you’ll wonder how your stash got so elaborate.

I buy whatever sounds good, so I’ve got a decent stash. As for what to drink when, I basically close my eyes and point/tap my next selection, unless I’m in the mood for something particular.

Oh some 70 or so. Some of them only in small amounts though, as they were acquired through swaps, or free samples included with orders. I have a few more orders planned, but I’m trying to space them out a bit over the remainder of the year.

As for choosing what to drink I go with whatever sounds good at that moment. More often than not, though, this is a black tea, with or without added flavour. On work mornings I don’t generally have time for a cup before leaving as I prefer to sleep just that little bit longer and I can’t drink it that fast, but on weekends and wednesdays (oh the joys of part time!) I tend to start the day on something black without flavour added. Greens or less oxidated oolongs usually happen later in the day, and the same goes for the occasional rooibos blend. But it’s not something I choose deliberately, it just turns out that way.

I have a couple hundred BUT many of them are small qualities samples or the remains of a purchase that I haven’t finished yet. I have a terrible desire to have a little bit of everything I love around all the time so I have trouble finishing a tea “just in case” I want it later on.

Forty-something. Will be around 50 when my latest order from verdant arrives and around 60 when fall line is completely introduced :)
