Thought this would be an eclectic topic – a nice mish mash of chatter…

What/Which random discoveries while sipping and surfing did you come across today?

Silver Buds Yabao!! I don’t know how I missed this one! Saw a review someone posted and it sounded SO perfect for today and I could have sworn I had some but alas I did not. Made a small order of it. It was not in my “budget” but I HAD to! I mean I just HAD to!

I come across a lot of interesting tea articles during my morning search. This is an article about Japense farmers switching from green to black tea production: http://www.japantimes.co.jp/text/nn20121006f1.html

I was looking for a good article on caffeine and found this one: http://chadao.blogspot.com/2008/02/caffeine-and-tea-myth-and-reality.html. It was written by Nigel Melican. I found it through Tea Lab, a Facebook group that focuses on the science behind tea. Definitely, an interesting group. http://www.facebook.com/camelliasinensislab

I was a bit sad that I missed the World Tea East session on caffeine. This was the description:

In 2011 the CAMELLIA SINENSIS team collaborated with TransBIOTech, in an extensive $25,000+ laboratory series to study the levels of antioxidants and caffeine in a large diversity of premium teas. Testing was based on regular cup content in the context of daily consumption. Kevin talks us through the very surprising results.

Anyone go to that session?
