Tea Deals and Discounts

Sometimes specific tea companies post on Steepster about their deals/sales. However, I know many of us receive email sales all the time from tea companies. Once upon-a-time there was a steepster thread for this..however, it seems to be long neglected. Anyone have great deal info? Share the details!

I will go first…I just got an email from The Tea District (http://www.teadistrict.com/index.php) that there is 10% off all tea through October 15th and in addition they will donate 10% to Susan G. Koman for the cure. The code is 10offBCA.

Yesterday I set up an account with Yipit.com – a site that keeps track of all Groupon-like deals so you can get updates of discounts you’d be interested in. I set up to get alerts about tea! Give it a try.

I joined yipit but can’t figure out where to set up alerts about tea….it isn’t one of the categories? HELP!

Ah-ha! I should have clarified that from the start: you need to search “tea” on Yipit and set up an alert for that search term.

In my case, I got a message that said “Sorry, there are no active deals that match your search, but we can email you as soon as we find one.” and I clicked the button for adding the alert.

Hope that helps!

Teavivre has free shipping at $30 (all the time) but also 10% off at the mo with code halloweentea. Not sure when it ends, but I used it 2 days ago.

You can use up to two coupons and I found one listed on retailmenot.com

teavivreimba for 10% off

where do you find their survey?

Small
Invader Zim said 2012-10-13 17:04:06 -0400

Jes, the survey came in through their newsletter. I don’t have it in my email anymore though, sorry. And I have no idea if it is the same code for everyone who takes it or not.

Also, there is another 10% off any order over $30, coupon code: Halloweentea

Azzrian said 2012-10-13 18:51:27 -0400

@Rachel yeah I love it when there is no minimum!! :)

Small
tperez said 2012-10-14 10:14:24 -0400

Hmm, I can only seem to use one coupon, which is weird cause I was forming an order the other day and using two was fine… Wonder if they changed it to one coupon?

Small
Babble said 2012-10-14 11:17:27 -0400

Help! I took their survey but forgot to write down the code and I can’t find it in my email. :(

Small
tperez said 2012-10-14 12:47:36 -0400

Rachel, are you able to use two coupons? the code was teavivresurvey

Small
Babble said 2012-10-15 17:13:53 -0400

Thanks for the code. I’m having difficulty using two coupon codes now. I emailed them, but since they are on the other side of the world it might be a day or so before I hear from them.

Samovar has 20% off the cast iron tetsubin, tea lounge tea pot, thermos and rarely-discounted-anywhere Breville One-Touch (http://shop.samovarlife.com/Breville-One-Touch-Tea-Maker-p/btm800xl.htm) by entering TEAWARE20, expiring this Sunday, Oct 14.

When I click that link, I see the following message: “Coupon code “everydaybright” is not valid. The coupon expired on Wed Sep 19 00:00:00 PDT 2012."

Sil said 2012-10-11 20:22:42 -0400

I’m right there with you Rachel. Have to keep reminding myself that I can make tea perfectly fine using my electric kettle and thermometer set up… but OH the convenience!!

Small
Ellyn said 2012-10-12 12:13:03 -0400

Ladies, me too! I love my electric kettle and eclectic collection of teapots/infuser/etc but oooo shiny new things.

Mrnixonpants said 2012-10-13 11:37:20 -0400

I’m going to play devil’s advocate here – I have a Breville and I just wanted to say you might actually need one =)

OMG the price is so tempting with the coupon added. BUT my husband would not be happy if I bought it. Guess I’ll just have to ask Santa. ;)

Teavana are offering free shipping this week, on any order. A great deal, considering their free shipping minimum is usually $50.

I’ve been looking for a chawan forever, I’m so picky but the instant I saw that one, it was done. And $30 shipped is perfect for what I wanted to spend. If anyone else wants to take advantage, the discount is all fixed now!
